Anyone else dealing with headaches? Lately I've been waking up with one and cannot get rid of it I've tried Tylenol and caffeine and no dice ... any advice?
i have headaches ALL THE TIME. i had migraines before pregnancy, thank god that's gotten better. currently I have had a headache for 4 days. it's not awful but it definitely gets old. i would first make sure your OB/MW is aware of them, and secondly i get massages, specifically cranio sacral work. i also will do acupuncture, but the last few times my skin is way more sensitive so it's not as comfortable to get needles put in my neck.
also, someone just told me a way to get rid of headaches that i haven't tried yet but was planning to today. you put your hands and feet in hot water (drawing the blood away from the head) and put an ice pack at the base of the skull. she swears by it and at this point i will try anything.
I'm sorry you're dealing with this. I'm really sorry I can't be any help. I had a terrible headache that lasted a week, but it was probably a problem with my stroke. My blood pressure was fine, my sinuses were clear, and my teeth were fine (no infection). I had to have another MRI (I've had four this pregnancy) to check if I had a bleed on my brain from the blood thinners. The MRI was clear.
I guess I'm telling you this because they couldn't figure out what caused my headache. They gave me Tylenol 3, and told me to relax. I hope you get some relief soon!

I had a headache wake me up at 4am yesterday. It went away with Tylenol but would come back about 4 hours later. I mentioned it at my OB appointment yesterday and she said to call if I have a headache that does not go away with meds. Luckily I'm headache free today.
I have headaches just about every morning when I wake up. They are a repeat from the first trimester, when that was one of my worst symptoms. All you can really do is try to stay very hydrated. I think it helps some. I feel your pain.
I spoke with my MW and she said to try magnesium supplements 2x/ day, and if that doesn't work, try Benedryl/ Sudafed. I'm drinking a TON of water and hope that helps.
I have struggled with headaches my entire pregnancy. They are no fun. I always try a shower and laying down for a bit. I had to stop drinking any fluid outside of water because I kept getting dehydrated. The chiropractor helped me a lot too. I hope you find some relief!
Re: Headaches - yeeouch
If that isn't the culprit, what about trying benedryl? When I get headaches that won't go away, it's usually allergy related.
