@ky29...I can believe the 70mph...The Value Center Furniture across from the mall, had their front windows blown out.  The Vitamin Shoppe across from the mall, also lost parts of their awning.  I saw those this morning when driving down 31.

  • A friend of mine was actually driving around during that tornado in Plainfield last week!

Maybe I am a freak, but I love thunderstorms.  I mean, I don't want anyone to get hurt, but I love the things.  I really miss that about Indiana!  I am in New England now and we just don't get them very often!
I work in Brownsburg, and my parents live in Plainfield...they were on vacation, but their animals were home.  That tornado touched down about 4 miles east of them.

I love thunderstorms as well.  I love to watch them.  Obviously, I hate when this damage and people get hurt, but I love watching them come in.  I work in a warehouse in HR....they made all the associates go to the restroom during that tornado warning.  I stayed right where I was (in my office) watching.

  • @amylev80‌ I feel your pain. I'm in NW Arkansas where the tornado risk is high and the soil is too soft for basements. They're incredibly rare. After this particularly scary tornado season here, we have decided to put a tornado shelter in the garage. We have a consultation with the guy next week. I've been in the bathtub, under a mattress, with my dogs one too many times for my comfort level!
