headaches

I've been getting headaches everyday lately. I only take half the dose of Tylenol, but it still makes me nervous taking it everyday.

Re: headaches

  • So is it ok to take Tylenol that often?

  • Oh me too headaches are the worse!
  • I'm getting headaches pretty often, too. I actually asked my Dr at my last appointment about taking Tylenol and she said it's fine to take daily.

  • My OB has me taking tynenol as well. I remember reading that a couple ladies felt better adding a can of coke to go with the tynenol.

  • I can't get rid of them. Tylenol, cokes, cold rags, warm baths even naps aren't helping.

This was me last week. I finally broke down and went to my doctor. He prescribed me a pregnancy-safe medication that has worked wonders! Starts with an F. I don't recall the exact name.

  • I'm sorry :( Headaches are the worse. I think it's fine that you're taking Tylenol every day, but if you're feeling really uncomfortable with it, maybe you can call your OB and ask? That would give you peace of mind.

  • My OB also said Tylenol, and that for most women the headaches ease up by 20 weeks. I switched right from miserable morning sickness to miserable headaches at 16 weeks. Boo!

My doctor appt. is Tuesday. They have been daily. I suffer from migraines pre-pregnancy. During my first pregnancy I didn't get a single headache. I'm in the same boat as another PP - don't want to take too much Tylenol so I've just been miserable.

  • I've been suffering them too and my doctor said they were hormonal migraines. They are horrible. I'm in uk and we don't have Tylenol but we have paracetamol which for me only dulls the pain. I don't usually get migraines and headaches pre pregnancy x

  • I'm no oil expert but peppermint oil has been my saving grace when it comes to headaches.

  • You can try a cool wash rag at the back of your neck. That's helped me, my midwife says because the cause of the headaches can be the increased blood flow during pregnancy. I second the suggestion of peppermint oil too - works wonders, but may only be temporary. And drink tons of cool water! Good luck!!
  • My headaches are almost everyday too! I never even got many headaches from being hungover, but most mornings I now wake up feeling hungover(and of course I haven't drank anything!). I am guessing this means I am dehydrated, but having trouble drinking enough water.

    Firocet?

Yes! That's it. Has made my pregnancy much more tolerable! I highly suggest it if you're constantly suffering.
