3rd Trimester

Terrified of early labor and a NICU stay

So I'm 30 weeks with my second and I have had the hardest time with this pregnancy between Hyperthyroidism Hypermesis Gaviderum and extreme Braxton hicks and indigestion but recently we learned he is in birthing position and healthy but still pretty small... For the past 2 days I've had Braxton hicks to the point of doubling over (TMI time) shredding of my mucous plug and VERY loose stools I am considered high risk for early labor and it's been a HUGE concern of mine since day one my first son was born at 37 weeks and 1 day and spent 3 days and 4 nights in the hospital due to jaundice and difficult birth so question for all you mommies out there I know all pregnancies are different and I know the mucous plug can regenerate but with losing pieces of it severe Braxton hicks and very loose stools should I be worried about preterm labor or am I over analyzing things

  • I'm in a similar situation and I was told more than 4-6/hr warrants a call and to go into L&D, I was just admitted for the SAME thing on Saturday and it was a BFD- they had me stay in the delivery rm until they stopped and I got steroid shots for baby's lungs. I'd call.
  • Braxton Hicks generally do not hurt. I'd call.
