We aren't planning to do much today, it's also my husband and I's "first date" anniversary. 10 years ago today we went on our first date to see the Canada Day concert and fireworks hosted by the city/university we were both attending.
We used to go see them every year together until we moved out of that city, a couple times we made the trip back. The ones where we live now are good, but we never want to fight the traffic - and not with a stroller this year!
Happy Canada Day!! I think we are going to camp out in front of the fan all day today, there's a hot weather warning and I don't want to risk overheating LO :-( We'll make it to the fireworks and celebrations next year hopefully.
Happy Canada Day! Other than putting LO in a celebratory onesie, we're not doing much. We just want to bbq at home but there's a risk of t-storms today so that may not happen. It'll be pretty low key, which is ok with us.
Happy Canada Day! We are at the cottage for a week, might have a fire and make some s'mores tonight, but otherwise just hanging out on the deck in the shade. Today I appreciate Canada's trend for longer maternity leave, and plan to use the next 8 m

On this off to the fullest! Bad signal at cottage..,
@Emmagk are you in QC? I heard there's a heat wave out there.
@spacepotatoes I'm outside of Toronto and there are tstorm warnings here too. Hopefully they don't last the rest of the day.
I'm outside Toronto too. Damn thunderstorm warnings and humidity, I couldn't line dry my diapers today.

I'm 2 hrs away. Also really annoyed that those storms didn't happen. Now we're stuck with the crazy humidity and no BBQ. Oh well, a glass of wine with dinner will make up for it

I tried to line dry. Then the wind knocked my rack down.
I never want to risk getting my diapers rained on.
Hmmm, it appears that I am in the minority with loving this humidity. But try living in Calgary where you get basically one week of summer each year and it snows in May and June (and then again by Oct) then you might come around to this heat!
@katsmewsings Calgary does have a lot going for it but I sheepishly have to say that I LOVE Ontario. Floating down the Bow is totally fun though, as is Stampede (and the proximity to the mountains).

We're in New Brunswick, heat wave here too. The weather report just changed to say possible thunder storms tomorrow, i'm hoping they are right, this heat and humidity is too much
I'm in the eastern part and it was winter until like May, then it was all of a sudden summer. I seriously thought I was going to have this child with snow on the ground.
Ugh, winter hangs around too long in this part too
Re: Happy Canada Day!
We are just hanging around our house with my parents and brother

Here is LO rockin his first Canadian outfit

We're low key this year. Next year we will do some of the festivities!
