I wash my face, brush my teeth, take my prenatal vitamins and usually read or get on the internet one last time. The absolute non-negotiable is lotion on my feet. If I don't do that they get hot and I can't sleep. If I get up in the middle of the night I have to reapply.
TTCAL January Siggy Challenge: Animals in the Snow
Oh, no, I can't wear socks (back to the feet getting hot thing). I have been this way since I was a child on the lotion. I actually started doing the PNV at night because while I was pregnant taking them in the morning made me nauseated. I guess I have enough food in my stomach at night to help? At any rate it works for me. ETA: by the way, I am totally jealous you can fall right to sleep, I very rarely can do that.
TTCAL January Siggy Challenge: Animals in the Snow
I am generally up late working, but when the clock says 11:30, I start the routine. I turn my computer off, down a glass of water to keep hydrated at night, wash/moisturize my face, brush/floss my teeth, turn on alarm on phone, hop into bed and cuddle with my man for a little bit, wrap up like a burrito in my favorite blankie, and go to sleep.
I can not go to sleep without washing my face. My grandmother told me when I was little for every night you don't wash your face you age a yr. she's 97 with few wrinkles I trust her. My friends pick on me even when I'm drunk I say this as I'm washing my face. I also take all my vitamins before bed.
I like to be the last one in bed. I brush my teeth; check and re-check the doors are locked; rearrange the dogs in the bed (the puppy goes between our pillows and the older one goes at the end of the bed between us); make sure my BB thermometer and water are at my bedside; and turn the fan so it doesn't directly blow on me. I should lotion my feet and wash my face, but I'm usually too tired and lazy to do it.

OMG my husband is the one with the routine. Me? It's an effort just to make it up the stairs, brush my teeth and fall into bed. I usually fall asleep almost immediately.
My husband on the other hand.... Set the dishwasher to run (if it needs to), Let the cat out, start the process of getting me off the couch and up to bed. Check the doors, Grab our cell phones, shut off lights, follow me up the stairs, check the thermostat (which never gets touched, lol), brush teeth, set the alarm, climb into bed, prep his earplugs (for the dog next door who likes to wake us up), cuddle with me and try to fall asleep.
Like MamaBear904, my fiancé is a little more routine than I. He
also has OCD.
So—he will walk into the kitchen and touch the toaster oven
to make sure it isn’t on. He will then touch (multiple times) the stove knobs
to make sure they aren’t on.
He then will lock, unlock and lock again both the back and
front doors just to make sure he got it. He then walks around and unplugs all
appliances.

This (and it's true for DH, too). But we're both chronically sleep-deprived.

@lgsdesigner, that is definitely OCD! My husband has some minor traits, like if he can't remember if he locked the door he HAS to get up and go check or else he won't be able to sleep. He also thinks of crazy scenarios. One example: One morning we woke up to find our screen door open. Our sliding door has 2 locks and a bar, so I was not worried about someone trying to break in but he believed that someone has hopped over our fence, opened the screen door and tried to break in because our screen was moved, like 5". There is no way it could have possibly been a strong gust of wind or the cat nudging it over so she can scratch on the door to come in. lol
