Day 36 and we are free! They have let us out with a home monitor for apnea, half of the NICU in freebies and reassurance from the doctor that the Grade 1 IVH will almost certainly not cause any issues, although it will be checked of course. HUGE relief. He's fast asleep with a full tummy and looking gorgeous. I'm guessing we'll have an unsettled day or two but I'll take that any day.
Congratulations! My LO is on an apnea monitor also. It takes a little bit getting used to and can get frustrating because you feel like you're tied down. Thankfully in the long run it is only short term
Hi. Glad your baby is home. Congratulations. thought it might reassure you to know that our 30w 5d DD had bilateral Grade I IVH and she is now 4 yrs old. No impact of IVH noted at all. It was also resolving before we were discharged.
