Hey ladies,
I have been on this board for a few months but haven't been active in a little while.
Does anyone have any experience of having a second (or more) miscarriage after having a live child? More specifically after a d&c? I have a 14 month old son and I had my first miscarriage in February of this year. It was a missed miscarriage -- found out at 12w5d, baby stopped growing at 11w0d. This resulted in a nights worth of Misoprostol followed by a d&c the following morning. My doctor said we could start trying after my first cycle--although he also said there was no need to use protection in the mean time. Well, I got my first period 7.5 weeks after my d&c, had another cycle 32 days after that, and got a BFP on day 30 of the following cycle (third cycle). I ended up losing that baby as well at 5w3d a week and a half ago. I don't think they will do testing until a third miscarriage especially since I have had 1 live birth.
I am terrified to try again but want another baby so badly. I was so sure everything would go fine with this last pregnancy but having 2 miscarriages back to back doesn't make me excited to think about being pregnant again, it makes me scared. Is it common to have a miscarriage following a d&c (3rd cycle) due to uterine lining not being built up enough? My OB has been on vacation for the last 2 weeks and has no idea any of this happened (this past pregnancy or miscarriage). I intend on calling his office tomorrow and leaving a message with his nurse, but I have no idea what to say... Or what to ask. Any advice?

Re: Second (or more) miscarriage after a d&c? **living child mentioned**
I had two losses then one live birth. All I can say is that you need to advocate for yourself. I had testing after my second loss. I wasn't willing to do it again. I would ask for a referral to an RE and an RPL (repeat loss panel), which will check for genetic issues, clotting disorders, etc... I am so sorry for your losses. Please don't worry that the D&C was to blame. Three cycles is a normal waiting time.
