Update about gas stove from Monday Bitchfest

My OB sent me to my primary which kind of confused me a bit because I was concerned about the baby and part of me was hoping for a surprise u/s (even though I have my official a/s on Wednesday...I'm selfish lol). So went to my primary. She said my blood pressure, lungs, and CO2 levels were great but she was a little concerned that I hadn't felt him move at all today when I've been feeling him everyday. She told me to go home, have some juice, and use my fetal heart rate monitor. She said if I still don't feel him move to go to the ER. Also, my OB called me to find out what the doctor said and told me that if I couldn't find the heart beat that I could go straight to them for them to find it. I had the juice, felt him move, and heard his heart beat so I'm definitely relieved but I can't wait to see him on Wednesday...even more than before. Thanks to all you lovely ladies and your concern. I live in an apartment complex. Maintenance came when I got home from the doctor and I made sure he checked all detectors. I have carbon monoxide detectors as well as smoke and heat detectors. He said none of them pick up natural gas. I'll be looking into whether there's something I can purchase that will detect it.

I know I have the same deal and had a bad gas leak in my old apartment. I'm not sure there is anything out there. I was thinking they (they?) should invent something like have the stove beep if it's been on for more than an hour or two.

How would that effect stews and stuff? A manual override maybe. I've thought about this a lot.

Ed. It's scary that the only way to tell is by the smell. I grew up in FL and nobody has gas stoves so I didn't know what the smell was even like when my leak happened. My cat and I ended up feeling really crappy for a day like you.
