Me: 38 DH: 40 TTC#1 (and likely only) since 9/13. Saw RE 5/14, SA good, AMH 2.36, FSH 7.2, estradiol 69.6 indicating good egg reserve. Using OPKs. First Letrozole cycle 6/14, a burst cyst and a BFN. Second Letrozole cycle 7/14, BFN.
Update 11/14 - had laparoscopy 10/28, good news is that my uterus and left tube look good, and they were able to drain the cyst on my left ovary. Bad news is that right tube and ovary have endo and scar tissue, so they're pretty useless.. Best news is that we finally have some answers and a path forward. Taking 7.5 mg letrozole CD 2-6 to put that good left ovary through its paces.
UPDATE 2/2015 - We switched to another fertility clinic, but fortunately we don't have to start all over. We're doing two cycles of Clomid plus IUI, if neither of those take, we'll do IVF in April, potentially with ICSI. (DH's SA has gone downhill, likely due to excessive exercise.) IUI#1 2/25/15....
@kelley72 - You know what...that is the smart way to do it! Me being 10 weeks away from my beach wedding, and all the planning I have done and all the money I shelled out, I wish I just did the courthouse. lol
@mamabear904- Oh wow...how cool of a trip is that?! I looove California. Have been to Sacramento, Oceanside and San Diego. I can't wait to go back one day!
I love this thread! It's so fun to see everyone! 1st pic is of me and my dad on Father's Day. 2nd pic is of my DH and my DD on Father's Day. They are total twinsies! My child looks nothing like me! LoL
@lgsdesigner, it was an AMAZING trip! It was the first vacation we went on where we could really see ourselves living there! And since I live on the east coast and have my feet in the Atlantic, it was cool to be able to put my feet in the Pacific too!
@TAT2MAMI- The second set of codes you posted were correct, but you have to place them in the image box. See that little box that looks like a photo of a tree? You click on it and paste the code in there. Trust me...this site has a HUGE learning curve. Took me forever to learn everything!
BTW-- you are one hot mama, and your DD is adorable!
Omgosh! @lgsdesigner .. I totally get it now! You're awesome!
And thank you! I'm still a work in progress. My weight keeps going down, but I need to tone up with muscle! I haven't been able to work out because of my surgery. I tried running a week ago and had to hold my side where the incisions are so I knew I wasn't quite ready yet.
@TAT2MAMI- I had a major surgery last year (cancer removal from my left abdomen), and I was very sad I couldn't work out! I ate super healthy though the entire 'rest' time, and then after 8 weeks I was cleared. Still-- I couldn't run or anything for a while longer, so I just did arm exercises and leg exercises. If you want to tone, I suggest doing the book "The New Rules of Lifting for Women". I also loved Jillian Michael's "No More Trouble Zones". Do both AFTER you heal, of course.
@lgsdesigner - Thank you again for all of the tips! I plan on hitting the gym again this week. I have continued to lose weight since my surgery. I'm no sure what that's attributed to. You think it's because I'm losing muscle?
@MelissaMiso - Thank you for the compliment!! Your pictures are so cute and I love it that you have ink! @hooligans4 - Your daughter is gorge!!!!
@TAT2MAMI- You can definitely lose mass post-surgery, but a lot of the weight loss is from bloat loss/water loss. When you have a major surgery, your body will swell up in reaction to it. Though you may not always see it right way, you can usually notice as weight starts falling off a few weeks/months out. If you are not exercising as much, that is were your muscle loss is coming into play. It is probably a combo of things, but once you get back into your old workout routine, you will surprisingly build your mass back rather quickly (in about 4-6 weeks).
@JimBobCooter where in Maine are/were you? DH and I just got back from spending the weekend at Boothbay Harbor (with a quick stop in Ogunquit on the way home) for our anniversary
