I'll start.

Current ride? I have white infiniti g35 sedan that's been good to me for the past few years. I have a bit of a need for speed and this baby has helped me amass a handful of tickets. I'm not positive I will be able to fit all three kids in the back when this baby comes. (I'll have a booster seat, a toddler seat, and an infant seat.)

Dream ride? Tesla model s. I'm obsessed. I would probably have to get it with the rear jump seats in the back to fit in all the kids, though....hmmm.

Car now: Ford Fusion.. we also had a Suzuku Aerio... but that was totaled yesterday. Soo not sure what our new current ride will be.

Dream Ride.. I don't know... an Suv with fun bells and whistles.

Current car: My car is a 2001 Toyota Corolla. I've had it since I was an undergrad and it's going to outlive me, I think. It's a beater and DH and I use it as our commuter car (i.e. whoever does not have DD takes the Corolla).

Our family car is a 2011 Mazda CX-9. We live in New England so we need at least one car with AWD, and I like that it has the optional third row seat without being a huge SUV (we have a lot of local relatives who don't drive-- elderly and people who live in the city). It isn't as fuel efficient as we'd like, but we can't afford a Pathfinder Hybrid or Highlander Hybrid.

Dream car: This isn't really a dream car, but I'd like to replace the Corolla with a 2011 (or newer) Subaru Impreza. It gets the same mpg as the Corolla but has AWD. I also really like the Prius V, but the lack of AWD makes it not the best choice for our family. Working in health care, I need to go to work in all sorts of weather.

I have a Subaru forester. I love it.
Dh has an Hyundai sonata and he loves the 35mpg he gets on the highway.

Dream car? Some sort of SUV with lots of extras.

Current car: 2002 Toyota echo with manual everything: Doors, windows, no clock radio...just a radio (who knew they even made that???) It also only has 2 speeds for the windshield wipers, which is surprisingly annoying. Not something I ever would have thought of to check when buying a car.

Dream Car: My "if I won a huge amount at the lottery car" would be a BMW. Those things are amazing to drive. I want to charity drive even and got to try some out. I didn't understand the point of pricey cars before.

Current ride: 2007 Kia Sportge with a crack in the bumper from a run in with a deer and 4 cracks in the windshield from oil trucks. (This is life in rural south Texas)

Dream: GMC Acadia with leather seats. I will also have to win the lottery or wait 3 more years till H's one ton diesel is paid off.

Current Car: 2008 Toyota Rav4 Sport, pretty good cat except I hit a deer once and when the paint job etc got fixed the new paint bubbled so it looks like shit now...also my lovely DH got it caught up on a snow bank and tore off part of something from underneath and I currently have long grass hanging from it from a little off roading on one of our farms,

Dream: Toyota 4 Runner with the extra row of seats and leather would be nice...

Reality: some cheap ass mini van hahaha but the Rav4 will work until we have more then 2 kids then it will be tight

my current car is a 2007 pontiac vibe. i like it, it works. it's small but has a deceptively large amount of space for packing, and it gets decent gas mileage (nothing compared to SO's VW jetta TDI though). kinda bare bones for "extras" though, and the damn CD player doesn't like to work properly when the dash gets warm (like this time of year, and also in winter when i have the heat on).

i'd also love a tesla. supposedly their business model is to perfect the technology first and THEN work on making it more affordable (rather than the other way around, like everyone else does), so us common folk should be able to get one in the next decade or so. lol

Current: just picked up an Audi Q7 last week, making room for baby 2. Dream : before I was mommy I had an Audi S5, I'm a speed girl too. I shed a tear every time I see one. The Aston V12 Vanquish is a favorite, I did an Aston driving day a couple years ago and driving it was life changing. So I'd say that or maybe a Ferrari California or Audi R8.... Some day dreams will come true, right!? Love this thread

Current car: Silver 2007 Ford Escape with moonroof. It WAS my dream car when we bought it brand new and I still like it a lot. It's 7 years old now though and will need to be replaced at some point.

We're a 1-car family and have been since 2008 so a new car would have to be about the same.

Dream car: I really like the Kia Sorento. I'm not a big fan of the streamlined look in cars though. I much prefer the boxy shape of my Escape so it will be hard to find a new one that fits my likes.

Current car-- Mazda2. It's tiny, I average 36-38 mph, and I LOVE IT. haha.

Dream car-- hmmm... Actually, DH is in the Tesla camp with a bunch of you. I could get behind that. But, really, the Mazda2 was my dream car for the first like 4 years between Japan release and American release.

If I had the money, though, I'd ship over a Skyline or a Sylvia from Japan. And somehow make them street legal for the US... hahaha.

Current car: 2010 Hyundai Santa Few. I really like my car. I just got it not long ago. I had a 2005 Hyundai Accent before. It had manual windows, locks, no CD player, no cruise control. And the new car is an upgrade so I'm happy.

Dream car: idk, maybe a brand new Hyundai Santa Fe or something similar with better gas mileage.

Current Car: 2007 Nissan Murano. I actually really love my car, it's been awesome for us so far. Only things I'd like it to have is satellite radio (I had to install the little box radio into it so I could get SIRIUS), bluetooth, better gas mileage, and although we don't NEED it, a little more room would always be good.

Dream Car: Right now, I'm in love with the Nissan Pathfinder & the Toyota Highlander. As much as I love my Nissan now, I'd definitely stick with the same make. And I'd prefer either in a hybrid version!

I, too have a Pontiac Vibe. Mine is a 2003. When we moved (pre-kids) we were actually able to fold down the back seat and fit our big living room chair in the back!! Not so roomy now with 2 car seats and a stroller in the hatch, though. A cool feature mine has is an electric outlet in the dash and also in the hatch. Even if I can't find my car cell-phone charger, I can still use the house charger in the outlet. It has a hard lap top table on the back of the passenger seat if I were a single business traveling kind of person. It is versatile and has served me well to this point. I don't think it will fit 3 car seats in the back, though...

Dream car? Always wanted a silver VW Jetta when I was in college. Now they've changed the body style and they look boring. I would do a Jeep Grand Cherokee if my husband would keep his hands off of it (he has a Cherokee Sport and felt the need to jack it up and put bigger tires on it...so I have to climb up into it and would never want to have to try to put car seats in it.)

Reality: I'm going to be a mom of 3 and we really can't afford an SUV payment, so I'll probably get stuck with a van in the near future.

I drive an '08 Prius. It was my gift to myself when I graduated college, and it''s been good to me. Plus, it's almost paid off, so that makes it fabulous.

I don't know a whole lot about cars, but the Teslas are super rad, @stargirlb. More realistically, I think the Nissan Rogues are really good looking cars and seem to be a good family-of-four car, but I've never driven one.

current car is a Mazda3. Dream car.. well my dream car now is just a bigger car that will work for a growing family, but I still have to wait a couple years. Probably an Audi crossover.. I'll end up with a CRV or Rav4 prob though

I currently drive a 2012 Ford Escape. We have my old 2000 Jetta in the garage for quick trips around town and DH drives a Ford F350 diesel.

Dream car: White Range Rover (except their newest style is not as pretty as they have all been...weird design) or a G-Glass Mercedes SUV.

@stargirlb DH totally wants a Tesla. Their headquarters/manufacturing plant is about 45 minutes away so we see them on the road all of the time and each time he's like, "That's the car we are getting."
