Cloth Diapering

Online resources for green living and/or saving money

Since I have started cloth diapering I am finding myself becoming more environmentally conscious every day.  Most of the things I do are for the environment but in the meantime I am seeing a financial impact that I love too!  We are a fast growing family with 1 income and lots of debt.  I have started searching the web for different resources and am a little overwhelmed.  So I was wondering if there are any good websites/blogs you guys reference?  Some of the things I am looking for are: homemade cleaning supplies, diy projects, tips on being frugal, coupons, green living tips, recipes, canning/jarring, or anything along those lines.

Re: Online resources for green living and/or saving money

  • I like https://www.kitchenstewardship.com/. It's very focused on whole and homemade foods, but also has natural cleaning tips and reusable product reviews.  FYI, She is religious and sometimes talks about that in relation to her lifestyle.  I'm not sure what page you're on with that, but she doesn't cram it down your throat.  I wouldn't consider myself a religious person and I like her site a lot.

  • LLOL!  Yeah totally.  You guys have given me some really good ideas.  Especially the Going Green thread.  Don't want to discount that.  Just looking for even more help.   ;)
  • I was about 98% sure you were teasing.  Just making sure I wasn't going to T anyone off for reals.
  • Nope.  I happen to find you very help....most of the time. ~:>
  • Lol am I that volatile?
Dude.  We've been told we're intimidating.  It is known.

  • I like penniless parenting.com. The lady is extreme frugality in all the aspects, she also has a lot of gluten free recipes. I don't really recommend the idea of using coupons anymore, because instead of helping to safe money, it will make people to spend more, plus there's not to many coupons for organic stuff. I think is better if you order at amazon and buy for bulk or package, every other moths the way is more easy to safe money I think. For example I buy a case of 7 generation dish soap, every three moths the cost me around or less than $20. Or I got the toilet cleaning products the I can buy once every six moths.

Exactly what SAK said. It's the third year in arrow the my DH cannot have his tax money, because they take it all. Just for trying paying the school debt.

I have to second penniless parenting and Dave Ramsey. I also like https://zenhabits.net/ and https://unclutterer.com because they keep me from buying crap I don't need and use what I already have. I follow a BUNCH of people on Pinterest and it's one of my favorite resources. I also have to AW my blog https://leanandgreenfrugalliving.blogspot.com/ :)
