It's a Sunday and I'm not in the hospital!! (Where I've been the last 2 Sundays). We got out for a bit this morning to church and to pick up lunch for my family coming to visit this afternoon.
All that PLUS having Miss Hannah to stare at all day?? That makes for a great Sunday!
I am loving summer time. I've always been a fan (I'm a teacher, so it means I set my own hours, instead of sticking to ungodly ones), but since I'm on leave from grad school, and have already gotten everything for next school year set for my substitute, this is my first experience really having time totally off. No classes, no papers to write, no curriculum to refine, no nothing. And it's awesome. Add that to great weather and central a/c to get away from it, and I'm a happy chickadee.
I had a feeling this thread would slow down once we all got bigger, grumpier and pregnanter! Even more reason to try to find a silver lining I suppose.
My positive thing is that my kitten finally seems to be acclimated to our new house. She had been really scared and upset until a few days ago, and now she's back to her snuggly self, just in time for baby! Here's little miss clementine hogging my snoogle last night:
8 more days (at the most) of being pregnant!!! That's what I keep telling myself today as I hobble around the house (in excruciating pain!!) today like a 90 year old.
Lots of good things happening. We're hiring a cleaner it's just once a week but, it'll still be nice to know that I can kick back for a day and not have to worry about cleaning.
Also, the puppy we were getting is born! Bad news, I've come to my senses that we won't be able to care for it right now. We just don't have time or energy for another baby. Good news, my sister will be keeping him! So, we'll get to visit and the little guy will still be family
So excited for 4th of July weekend. We can't do everything we normally would since our lil guy arrived but, cracked crab, virgin daquiri's and the pool at my MIL's is good enough for me. It'll be Max's first BBQ although he'll probably sleep through most of it lol.
I got a much needed pedicure last night. I chose blue polish in honor of baby boy (I had blue on my toes for DS's birth as well) and everything just seems better when you have pretty feet.
I was having a hard time staying positive due to having surgery on my thigh on Thursday and that keeping me from swimming. Meaning I am pretty much done swimming until September. But today I am LOVING seeing my little man move around in my stomach. Plus my mom and DH got to see him too so it makes it all worth it!
I really have the best most supportive family. It's really pretty ridiculous how much can go wrong in your life and how much can go right at the same time.
I got new shoes, now this seems trivial but I've gone up like 2 shoe sizes and was wearing unsupportive business casual flats as they were the only thing that fit, now I have super comfy supportive Nikes
While I missed out on PRIDE due to the heat and me going be more of a burden than fun for others, I'm so glad my sister and some friends were able to go, especially some young people that really needed to see the support and love they have.
