What's everyone doing this weekend??

I have nothing exciting planned. I have to work my PT job tonight and Sunday afternoon. Sunday night, I have softball league night! DH has to work tomorrow and Sunday. But other than that...I think I'm going to get my lazy ass to the gym (long overdue) and pick up our house. I have told DH that we are not to spend any $$ unless absolutely necessary, so we'll just be chilling around home probably. Maybe we'll get some things done around the house!!

I have 2 papers due for school so I have to crank them out tomorrow. H is going offshore fishing so the house should be quiet. Sunday we're going strawberry picking.

We are going out for DH's birthday tonight with his family. Tomorrow he has to work, so I plan on being lazy and feeling bad for myself with this bfn. Sunday, hopefully we'll do something fun. Or continue our garage makeover, which we randomly started last weekend.

We are having a going away party Saturday night for my friend who is moving about a billion miles away to the Marshall Islands. It's going to be so hard to say goodbye!

@ky29 it's 14 here for your learner's permit and 16 for your license. Seems so young! Luckily he's pretty mature for his age...still, I'll be keeping him practicing in empty parking lots and side roads for a good long while!

We're hosting a birthday party for my 10-year-old step-son on Saturday. We're taking 5 kids to a retro arcade and then having pizza and cake. His mom will be there, so it will be an ex-filled weekend. Yay. (Sarcasm.)

Then on Sunday we're viewing a house for my ILs (they currently live across the country) and then we're driving to my parents house for a cook out.

We still need to finish cleaning the house for the party. I'm already tired thinking about all of this.

@AnnaClaire256‌ Good luck!!! My son got his permit at 15 last December I still need Xanax when he's driving. I'm so grateful he could care less about driving because he's horrible at it.

Tomorrow were having my 40th bday pool party. Since I never got a phone call on the update for my embabies I'm going to start drinking wine tonight, mimosas for breakfast, and rum and cream soda tomorrow while my drunk ass floats in the pool and drowns in my sorrows. Also, the bitch that happens to be pregnant that's not really my friend anymore because she hasn't been much of a friend to me in the last yr is going to be here. I was talked into inviting her because I was told I need to be the bigger person and of course she wouldn't dare turn it down. She never even told me happy fucking birthday last weekend. I'm not pissed in the least bit, I'm sure you can tell. Then Sunday morning if I survive I'm going for brunch and more mimosas and prob more pool time. I haven't been swimming in my pool yet. It's missing me and my awesome back flips!!!

I'll let y'all know if this 40 yr old has still got it. Or I may even up in the ER, well see.

@iPutKetchupOnKetchup‌ my pool is so easy to maintain. I use the BBB method. All I do is add a gallon of bleach every other day in the summer. Once I switched to this method I've never had a problem with my Ph or anything. I'm in south la, New Orleans area and it's hot here too. I was spending a fortune on chemicals and still having to shock the pool now a case of bleach last a week and it's about $8-9 at SAMs and that's all I need.

ETA I think my pool is about 38x16 8ft deep. I have a rock waterfall so I couldn't have salt water because water movement on salt water raises ph and salt water isn't what it's cracked up to be.

Hahaha, @iPutKetchupOnKetchup‌! I love your humor. I *seriously* considered having liquor. H's sister will be there, and she doesn't drink, and the ex is in NA, so I feel like it would probably be rude for me to drink. Sads.

I have a liner pool I didn't want gunite but it looks like a gunite because I have blue steps, tanning deck, and liner so there is no break in color. I put bricks around the edge and I have pave stone decking instead of concrete. I'd post a pic but the damn app won't let me anymore. I put the waterfall in because ins wouldn't let me have a diving board and I need height to get my flips in.

Ah! All this talk about pools makes me want one even more!!! @pintobean39 - I absolutely love your pool!!!! DH's aunt & uncle has a salt water pool and love it. They never have any issues with it, and it's always so clear!

@annaclaire256 - glad you made it out alive! Yeah, 14 seems super young! You have to be 15 to get a learners permit here!

I threw a shower for a friend last weekend so her and her man are taking us to a lovely dinner the the keys which I'm super excited about. May take DH on a date tomorrow to see the new transformer movie. He does a lot for me so I want to do something nice for him. Other than that just hanging around the house.

@Mozzarella13‌ this whole rum and cream soda is new to me too. A friend of mine got me hooked. Just make sure it's coconut rum and cream soda (we use diet). It's like a beach in a cup.

I survived without murdering her and trust me it was very difficult. I will not be inviting her over ever again, I'm done with being the bigger person. When she got here I was on the back porch grilling and talking to a friend. She brought her dog so when she got here she walked out to let the dog run in the back yard. Never said hello or anything to me and she walked back inside. She walked outside later and I said hello to her and she just sat down talking to another friend about her pregnancy. Then she spent the rest of the time laying in a chair with her skimpy bathing suit on and had it pulled up to let her belly hang out. She's a bigger girl and that bathing suit was WAY to small. My best friend that knows nothing of my feelings about her pulled me to the side and wanted to know WTF her problem was, she said she was acting like a bitch and she needed to find a bathing suit that fit that was a horrible site and there was kids here. She just laid there asking ppl to do things for her and oh yeah and it wasn't like she was getting a sun tan it was in the evening. My husband got pissed when she asked him to go inside and fix a fresh bowl with bottled water for her dog. He was helping me cook and entertaining guest. Not to mention there's a huge pool her dog is drinking out of and we have a water bowl outside that my dog drinks out of too. When she left she walked up to everyone and hugged them and told them bye. I was sitting at the table with everyone else and she just ignored me. At that point I looked at my husband and he had a look on his face of "WTF was up with that". Never once did she say hello to me, happy birthday or even fuck you.

I'm done!!!

Otherwise I had a very good party, I didn't get to float as much as I wanted because I was trying to visit with everyone. Unfortunately the night ended with a horrible Ménière's spell and I lost ability to move my arms and legs so my sweet husband prob pulled his back out carrying me to bed. Today I'm going to go to a friends and lay in her pool all day and have adult beverages.
