is it twins??!!

I took this test 6 days before af was due and was very surprised by how dark it was. Took about a hundred more since I was in shock. Told this to a few friends who happen to work in ob/gyn offices and they keep saying it's because I'm having twins. Apparently hcg levels are much much higher when having multiple babies, the first sign is an early strong positive. Anyone ever hear any truth to this?

    I'm not sure... Everyone here keeps saying line darkness doesn't imply hormone levels..  

    I feel crazy sick, REALLY early..   And I turned a digital test 5-6 days before my period was due.. (my period still is "due" 2-3 days from now)

    I'm not sure it means anything, but we'll find out soon enough :)

    You probably ovulated earlier--you only would know for sure when your period was due if:

    1. You know when you ovulated by temping.

    2. You know your average luteal phase.  

    I wouldn't go by the darkness of a line on a HPT.  The only way to be sure what your HCG levels are would be to have betas drawn.  And even then it's not guaranteed to be a predictor of twins.

    Maybe go post this on First Tri.

    Psh, I'm being totally serious and helpful.  You should line up a reality tv show for yourself.  Start calling the networks and tell them about your super dark pee-stick.  There's gotta be money in that--this is 'murica.

    You won't know until ultrasound. You could of ovulated early, or just have high hormone levels. 

    Do twins run in your family? If so, it *might* be possible. Or, if your on fertility medication that makes you ovulate like crazy. Other than that, I vote no.

    yes twins run in my family and I'm a twin as well.

    Don't quote me on this, but I am pretty sure women who are pregnant with one or twins will have the same scale for the hcg hormone. There is no way to tell if it is twins by the amount of hormone in the early weeks of pregnancy.

    This is supposed to be a supportive environment for women to talk about their pregnancies , and it seems like certain people just want to bully. Thumper said, "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say nothin at all!" Pregnant women are aensitive mmkay?! Jeeeesus!
