A/s Ultrasound Thursday!! Advise!

So July 3rd I have the a/s ultrasound and I'll be 18 weeks!! After the u/s we are having a little family get together to announce the sex to everyone! Nothing big just close family coming over for cake. So...I really want to make sure we can find out. Who has some fun and working advice to make sure the baby is showing it's goods. (alright I know that was slightly inappropriate but it was the best way to say it haha). I've heard about OJ, some caffeine, and some candy? Haha. What else have you ladies heard? :-?

    I'd say drink some caffiene before going in. The tech can also try and move the baby around to get a better look. Other than what you listed I don't think there's much else you can do. Oh I did see a post where the tech had someone do a couple jumping jacks.. Our girl was sitting Indian style and we were still able to see clearly. Congrats and good luck.

    I had a cup of coffee on the way to my Elective US. Baby was cooperative. Most of the time they can tell, but occasionally they can't. I've also heard that technicians will ask you to get up and walk around for a minute and go to the bathroom if they are having trouble getting a good look.

    Cold pack on your tummy, swallowing ice chips, walking around a lot immediately before you go into the appt (in the wtg rm), and go with a full bladder (you can empty it upon request of the tech).
