SCH on Ultrasound & bleeding this afternoon. UPDATE

This morning we saw a great healthy heartbeat and a subchorionic hematoma. The ultrasound tech said it was small & she was a little concerned but not a lot. This afternoon I had a gush of red blood, no cramps. Called the office, they think the hematoma broke b/c there are no cramps. Ultrasound in the morning. This is going to be the longest night of my life.

I have one of these currently and its not all doom and gloom! I'm still bleeding (2 weeks after it was diagnosed) but its getting more and more sporadic, thank goodness. I was told at my last ultrasound that is actually grew in size, so ughhh....Anyways, from what I've been told, they are incredibly common! Fx for you that everything turns out alright!

I know it's hard, but try not to worry! I had one with my last pregnancy, and it ruptured around 11 weeks. I ran to the ER thinking I was miscarrying for sure, there was so much blood. My son is now asleep in his crib. ((HUGS)) to you. I know it's scary but honestly, the odds are, it will be just fine. I'll keep you and your LO in my thoughts!

Had an ultrasound this morning. Doc says he sees it all the time and it rarely causes a miscarriage. The baby is bigger than yesterday & the heartbeat is stronger.
He said he's not going to tell me not to worry but if it happens again after my heart attack remember that he said bleeding happens and if it stops that's a good sign.

For now I can breathe.

That is great news! I am 6 weeks 5 days and got the same diagnosis yesterday at my first U/S. We heard the baby's heartbeat which was so reassuring but I got very anxious about the SCH once I had the chance to read more about it. Here's hoping both of ours resolve on their own!

I am 5 weeks and 5 days, and went into the ER for bleeding last night. We were happily surprised to see a healthy heartbeat, and just a small SCH, so I am trying to be optimistic. Thank you for sharing!

Glad your appointment went well today!

I had a SCH with my first, and I bled almost every time I had an internal ultrasound. I would bleed a good amount of bright red blood and it always scared the sh!t out of me. The good news is that it cleared up pretty soon with me being on pelvic rest and external ultrasounds!

Take it easy on yourself and you'll be in my t&p's.

Hey @Hernsy‌ I didn't know you were on the feb15 board too. It's nice to see you on here and were going through this SCH madness together at the same time. ( I had made a post on the PAIF board about my RE and wanting to switch docs). Hope things are going good for you with your SCH any upcoming u/s checks? I think I'm sticking with my RE until I'm released at the end of first tri. I go back July 11.

@Morgs8384 - Hi! So far so good! Hope things are going well for you too? I think I'll be with my RE a few more weeks and have another ultrasound on the 8th, first OB appointment on the 11th. Hope you are feeling a little better about everything.
