spotting during pregnancy

Today is the first day of my second trimester. Started to spot yesterday. Its a light brown. As anyone else experienced this?

    Brown blood generally means old blood or is really no reason to be concerned. I would still call your obgyn and see what they want you to do.

    I had some light brown spotting/discharge as soon as I hit 13 weeks. I went in for a scan right away and baby was fine. This was the day after Easter so my doc thought maybe because I'd had a busier weekend than usual (was kind of all over the place that day, visiting family on both sides, church, etc.), my body was telling me to take it easy. It stopped after a day or two. Spotting is always scary. FX it's nothing!
