I use the medela ones- they freeze up to 5 oz. Haven't had a problem yet
  • Loading the player...
  •  use Lanisoh and freeze 4 oz in each.
  • When I was pumping, the Honeysuckle bags (online only) were the BEST EVER!

I use lansinoh because I got them for free and I like them a lot.  I really like the honeysuckle ones too.

I have used the lanisoh but also write the ounces because I have noticed the measurement is off. Also, I am planning to switch due to leaks that occur after thawing from my deep freezer.

I also use Lansinoh, but I measure before I put it in!  The markings on the bag aren't really accurate.

    This exactly!
  • @bennieangel‌ Yes, when I thawed them in the fridge they leaked. Now when I thaw them I put them upright in a coffee cup with the zipper up. We have not had leaks with the new method... Sideways was the issue.

  • I use Lansinoh.
  • Up & up from target. $16 for 100 bags, and they are structured the same as Lansinoh. Just make sure measure out of the bag first and write on them before filling. They hold up to 6 oz.

  • I've used tommee tippee bags. They hold 12oz (over supply so this is fine for me else I would be using HUNDREDS of bags). The measurements seem accurate when you stand them up to pour into and they defrost fine from a deep freezer (although I stand in a jug just incase :) )
  • I'm another one who does lansinoh and measures before putting it in the bag. So far so good.
  • @NorthernLghts‌ They are from march! I bough a bunch right before my due date because they were on sale. How weird! I just ran out and bought another brand instead (Up&Up I think) so maybe I will give them another shot.

  • Targets and if you have cartwheel its 10% off pump accessories right now. We go through a lot and I have tried lanosh and madela. They all have the same issue with the ounces and it has to do with the bottoms, if the bottom is opened up more it would be more accurate. But I write ounces on each bag and do 3-5 ounce bags so as not to waste.
I had a friend with a huge stash and she used target brand, said has the least issue with leaking after freeze. Plus the cheapest!

  • Lansinoh and the Up&Up bags. When I first started pumping I used the Lansinoh and they are still holding up really well in the freezer. My oldest batch is from mid-May. I just recently switched to the Up&Up brand to give them a try, and so far they are just as good as the Lansinohs and less expensive. I always write the ounces on the bag because I've noticed the measurement on the bag is always way off.

Hmm.. I have been wondering how many ounces I can put in a bag.. I also have a large oversupply and im spending a ton on bags. Thanks!
  • I have used both Medela and babies R us. I lint the BRU better, they freeze flat and are cheaper. But I think I'll try the other brands too bc everyone here seems to like them.

We also use Up&Up from Target - they can freeze 10ish oz and have great zipper locks - the BRU ones I bought have VERY flimsy zipper locks and break easily.

Edit to say that these also freeze flat - i lay them down on the sides to freeze so we can fit more in our tiny freezer!

Dumb question - if you freeze in 10 oz. increments, how much does LO eat in a day? What if you need, say, 15 oz.? Do you defrost 2 bags and then what happens to the other 5 oz.? How long can a defrosted bag stay in the fridge, I thought it was only 24 hours?

I'm freezing in various increments from 3 oz. to 6 oz. because I remembered from DD1 that i never could figure out how much to send to DC for her...
