LO and I made a quick trip to Sam's club. We were literally in there for maybe 5 minutes and then I could hear it pouring rain and of course I had no umbrella! We checked out and went to stand in the entrance at least waiting for it to let up. A lot of people were choosing to wait it out, but this 50ish year old lady caught my eye. Her hair was perfect and she was wearing a super cute sundress and heels. She stood there for a minute looking around, and then She took off out the door with her cart. I thought about how if I looked that nice I probably wouldn't have done that. Moments later, she returns completely soaked holding an umbrella. She hands it to me, smiles, says take it, and keep it! She took off back out into the rain. I now have an umbrella from a really nice stranger that I intend to keep in my car so I can someday be just as nice to another stranger! I hope to remember to pay it forward to new mamas when I am no longer considered a new mom! It made me tear up the whole way home! Being a new mom is hard, but this lady made my day a little easier!
Also, we went to SAMs because their photo center has really cheap and really cute birth announcements! If you are a member, you should check it out!

Re: Paying it forward to new moms
I was in a fast food place this morning and while we were waiting on our food, a pregnant woman asked how old Charlie was. I said 3.5 weeks and she was so impressed that I was out and about already, apparently she's been told she won't leave her house for 4-5 weeks!! I said no, it's definitely faster than that as long as you're feeling up to it, that I was out a week after I gave birth for small trips. She looked so relieved!
