After the 6 week ultrasound, we were calling her blobby. Then when we saw her again at 9 weeks, we started calling her stumpy. LOL They just came out when we saw the pictures! I still call her stumpy every now and then, even though she's not so stumpy anymore!
We call her T-Rex. Our last name starts with T, and my mom started calling her Baby T - which weirdly annoyed me, so we needed to come up with something else. When we saw the first scan with the big head and tiny arms, I couldn't get this out of my head:
We've tended to give her French nicknames for some reason (both DH and I are bilingual), "Bibitte" which means little bug and "Bouboune" which makes no sense/has no translation haha. My mother would call little babies and my niece those terms, which is a nice touch; she's still very much a part of it all. Ok now I'm tearing up (
My OB calls her a little octopus because she squiggles around a fair amount and she had nicknamed Marianne a little shark...it's sweet that she kept up with marine life
My friend calls her "little F-bomb", F standing for fetus and/or female...I think it's hilarious, especially seeing how others react when she says it heheheh
I chose other because right now we've taken to calling him Bubble Guppy. His little bubbly movements always make it feel like he's swimming around in there, so we just thought it was a cute fit
Past pregnancies have been called peanut and bean, which are adorable, but paranoid pgal brain makes me unable to re-use those.
I showed my younger sister an ultrasound, and she's like "Is that blob your baby?" Since we're getting so many early ultrasounds, I just stuck with blob. (Although happy week 8! Today's u/s actually looked like a baby!)

We tried to pick a nickname early on (BOB = baby on board, or BIP= baby in progress), but it didn't really stick. So, we've just been calling him "Baby."
We have three finalists picked for his actual name, but we won't make a final decision until after birth, so it will be Baby up til the end.
My last pregnancy we just called the blueberries. I think that was the size of them in the first weekly baby email I got and it is DH and mine favourite fruit so it just stuck. We still refer to them by that when we talk about them though it is not at frequent as we once did.
This time, like PP said we just can't use a "fruit" name again because of PGAL brain so we shortened Baby Taber to BT.

This is our plan, too! We'll go into the hospital with probably our top 2 favorite names, and wait til the little guy is born so we can see which one suits him best.

Once we found out the gender (we already had the name picked out) we call her by her name. But before we called her a sweet pea. I found a wood sign that says sweet pea and it will hang in her nursery.
