When people say they are spiritual I automatically placed them in the you are full of crap category. Pick a side and stop being wishy washy you either believe or you don't.
The guy from Georgia whose child died in a hot car while he was at work needs to be locked into a hot car and "forgotten"
I don't think those feelings on that subject is unpopular. At least among sane people.
My UO, I don't think it is boring for kids to have just milk or water. I've heard a lot of people say that they want to give kids juice just to spice up their life or something. I do believe that 99% of all juice that is sold has more sugar in it than a cup of soda.. not the good kind of sugar, the added HFCS. (the 'good' kind of sugar I am talking about is the natural variation from the fruit itself.)
Now this kinda doesn't involve the juice that is squeezed from the fresh fruit. If you do that, then it is fine.

You just described me but not in the sense that I don't believe ). My father's side is Jewish and my mother's is Christian. I grew up learning traditions from both religions and as an adult i'm a stuck, so I say i'm spiritual.

Lol. Can a person believe we have a soul but not believe in a God(s)?

I don't think in any part of the world this would be unpopular
I have friends who are super liberal and think that my thoughts on punishing criminals who hurt or kill children are cruel and unusual. (I believe in the golden rule when it comes to this...if you did it to a child, expect that we will return the favor)
I'm not familiar with this story. Was it one of those awful cases where there was a change in routine and the dad forgot the kid was there? Or did he knowingly leave the kid in the car?
Accidents happen. Living with the fact that your mistake caused your child to suffer a terrible death seems like worse punishment to me than anything else. I would not be able to live with myself.

He had breakfast with his son that morning, then drove to work...less than 3 miles away. Also, he went to his car during lunch to "drop something off". I call BS on him saying he forgot.

@Kate_C Witnesses say he had been out to the car at least once during the day. Also, his internet browsing history revealed that prior to this "accident" he had been searching how long it takes for animals to die in hot cars.

Now that's disgusting. Normally in the summer when these stories crop up, i feel TERRIBLE for the parents, because I can only begin to imagine the frazzled mom, another kid, bags of groceries in arms, hasn't slept for days, who accidentally leaves her kid in the car because her brain doesn't work, and it ends up being a life-changing horrible mistkae. But this guy just sounds like a sociopath.
