I think it's important to note that vegan doesn't equal bad parenting. This is an unfortunate case but there are many responsible and conscientious vegan parents out there too, that would have given the medicine or found an equivalent vegan option.

@GradSchoolPrincess Nooooooooo I wasn't saying that at all, and I don't think the article was either. This particular person took it to the extreme.

exactly! extremes get unsafe, just putting in a good word for the responsible vegan parents

I've been vegan for 18 years and have seen a few news pieces about babies/children dying due to their parent's "vegan beliefs" or "vegan diet". So sick of being lumped in with these kind of people. There are obviously other issues at hand if someone is putting their child's life at risk. None of which have to do with being vegan.

@gimmeyronionrings I mentioned this earlier, but I don't think the article was lumping all vegans as being like this. And I certainly wasn't implying that. I just shared an article a crazy woman who took veganism to the extreme. I did not mean to offend anyone or say that all vegans would harm their children for the sake of veganism.
