Thursday Workout!

Good morning y'all! How's everyone doing so far this week?

I did w3d2 of C25K last night, and it went pretty well. My last run interval was thrown off a little by a deer blocking the trail. I just slowed to a walk until it moved along, then finished my run. I got up this morning and did a 30 minute Fitness Blender total body strength training. I'll try to get in some cardio tonight, maybe kickboxing. Eating has been okay.

I'm kicking into high gear for a bit. I'm going to Hershey Park in two weeks which means shorts, bathing suits, and indulging in all the yummy foods.

  • I'm going for a run late morning.
  • I went to the gym last night but missed my class so I did a HIIT interval work out that was pretty challenging. It was only 30 mins but I was beet red after. Then I did a 30 minute total body Nike work out. I love their app.

  • So, I need some help with lower body lifting to help my knees not hurt so much after running. I've heard strengthening your quads are good for that, so I did some leg curls and squats but what would be other lower body exercises for glutes/quads/hamstrings?

    I know deadlift and leg presses are good too but I get overwhelmed by now knowing what to do when and how many reps and sets to do

  • I'm also on Week 3, Day 2 of C25K and it's going pretty well. I've been going every night. I just can't stop.

    And I'm not sore today which sucks (even though I didn't do very heavy lifting). For some reason it was really crowded for a Wednesday evening and I couldn't get on the leg press machine I like.

  • I'm back in the addicted to exercise phase and I'm loving it. I've been up to work out 3 days this week, but have worked out all 4. Nothing is happening on the scale. But that's ok, because I feel awesome!!
    This is such a good place to be! I am trying to get back there. I was briefly, for a few weeks, then some personal life / emotional stuff got in the way.

  • Today was the 1st day I went to the gym with Dd where they didn't call me back down after 25 mins :) I went down to check in, but she was doing good! So I snuck back up and finished my workout. I feel this weight off my shoulders now that things are looking up for her

  • I'm going to go for a run again today. Week 3 day 3 of c25k. I'm having a really hard time actually getting up at my 4:30 for my early morning weight training. once my husband leaves for work I have been going back to bed.:( I need to find some more motivation!

  • I did not get to my run. Ah well.
  • Workout two down! I did 20 minutes of kickboxing. I think I might be bordering on that addiction Brea mentioned earlier.
