book recommendation about new baby for kids?

How are you explaining pregnancy?

We have told P that he is going to be a big brother and he is totally pumped. He's actually been talking about having a brother or sister for a while now, break my heart! But he's the kind of kid that you cannot distract away from a question, he HAS TO KNOW everything. Like, exactly where is the baby right now and why can't I see it and it's in your belly like food is in your belly?? I can't wait until he figures out the baby has to come out somehow.

Any cute/simple book recommendations?

No recommendations, but I want to say that story is adorable! I'm so looking forward to telling my nieces they will have a new baby cousin. They will be ecstatic! With their last cousin, the five-year-old went to the baby shower and was disappointed that she didn't get to actually SEE the baby then. She thought the baby could just go back inside her mom's tummy after she got a peek.

That is so cute of your son to be so excited. We haven't told DS yet, because he would definitely blurt it out to people. I haven't started looking into books for him yet, but I will let you know when I find something good.

I don't know if i'll buy a book, I think she's a little too young to comprehend, but she has baby dolls, and I've been showing her for a few months now that you hug and kiss your baby's, and be gentle with them.

My LO is old enough to understand the idea of a baby sibling but I don't think we'll tell her yet. She's also asked about having a baby sister or brother before. We told her last time and she kept asking about the baby in my tummy for months after the m/c.

This time we'll probably tell her after we see a heartbeat. I am planning to get her this book if all goes well.

I literally just ordered this one, I like it shows baby and Mom growing so they understand better what is going on. Idk if they have brother counterpart or not, but I thought it was cute

We went to a baby shower for 3 of my coworkers the other day- same thing, he was like, "Umm is the baby coming out?" Lol, not here!

How exciting for your nieces! My LOs have no hope for cousins for at least a couple years.

It is really cute, it makes me so happy. I've been a little worried that P will blurt it out, but we are telling my parents tomorrow- after that I'm not too worried about who he tells, we mostly hang out with church mom friends who I plan to tell very early anyway!

I'll update if I find something good, too.

@starsailorr26‌ DS1 did that too. For months he would pay my stomach and say "baby." We would explain again that Baby Noah came out and he died. Then he would pat my stomach and say "Baby Noah" and sometimes pat my stomach and say "Baby Noah died." It was rough. I think it took about 4-5 months before that stopped.

I've got three on my wishlist but am waiting until I move out of first tri.
I have the same book as starsailorr26

And this book:
That's not a big sister/brother book but I'm hoping it's more informative as to what is going on with this preganancy. DD will be 4 when we tell her so she will have questions I am guessing.

And I like this one
I'm hoping this one will be good because it talks about the baby not doing what the older sibling wants (cries, etc) so I think that will help prepare her since we don't have a ton of experience with other babies.
