  Did your doctor recommend it?  If there are no concerns, I'm not sure why it would even be a thought in your mind.  I wouldn't do it unless it was completely necessary and my only option.

  It depends what the concern is. I had one... And the procedure was not *that* bad. The 2 week waiting period was much worse. There's a lot of debate and opinions going on in the Genetic Testing thread, maybe it will be helpful for you.
