Sono showed 3 follicles!

I had my first trial of clomid,even though my RE did not expect me to respond to fertility meds with my DOR and my last FSH being 43! Went in today, CD12 and they saw 3 follicles, although 2 were 10cm and 1 was 12cm. Have to go back in on Saturday for another sono, and hopefully be able to do IUI. Truthfully, I have no real clue what this means, and my RE is on vacation until Monday. What I thought I heard him say is that with my DOR and high FSH the meds wouldn't work on me, but doesn't producing 3 follicles prove otherwise? Or, is it that there is still a chance they will not make it to 18cm, even with a few more days?

We also had our IVF class. Seriously, it is AMAZING what they can do with science. I am really hopeful! If we can't do IUI, or if we do, and it does not produce a BFP then we start the pill and IVF prep, likely this time next month.

What a crazy journey.

From what I was told a folli can grow 1-2cm a day. So by Saturday they will prob still be immature. I too am on a clomid cycle. W/o clomid I ovulate an immature folli. My body responded very well to clomid this cycle. On cd10 I had 4 mature follies. I go for iui tmow. But enough about me, gl to u, grow follies grow

Thank you, all. Have my appointment in the morning. I'm nervous to get my hopes up, like I'll jinx myself. I know that sounds dumb, but my brain isn't functioning in tip top shape with all of this. I think I'm more excited that I did respond to the clomid, even though the RE did not expect me to, over anything else. I don't have huge hopes for the IUI, but knowing my poor ovaries haven't give. Up just yet is comforting.
