Trying to Get Pregnant

Spinoff from regretting motherhood post

It seemed like a lot of the fear/depression/anxiety/passing feelings of regret or resentment stemmed from losing one's sense of self or their purpose as an individual before becoming a mom because it can be so all-encompassing.

So.

If you got to decide what you, as an individual, will be remembered for forever, other than being a parent, what would it be?

  • I'd like to be remembered for my sense of humor, because I'm pretty sure my asshole moments will negate my warmth by the end.

If I ever finally sit down and get back into writing it would be really cool to be remembered for a character or story or line or joke from that, but I figure the people in my life will remember my overall wit better than specifics.
  • I'd like to be remembered for standing up for what is right, even when it's not easy. Also for being determined.

  • For all the crazy/funny stories. I want people to be able to laugh at things I did (not laugh at, but laugh because it was funny) and have great stories to tell long after I'm gone.

  • @nariadreaming your dad was amazing :) I know someone like this and she is loved by all, she never seems to be out of her comfort zone.

I would like to be remembered for my caring nature and selflessness, and of course for The Great American Novel if I ever get there :)
