Mine: the baristas at my fave drive through coffee shop do t recognize my new car. They used to always have it ready for my by the time I got to the window. :!! Now I have to wait a whole 45 seconds while they make my drink.

I have been w/o A/C this whole week. We are getting a new unit on Friday and I feel like I have won the lottery. When you live in the South, you need A/C to survive, lest you get heat stroke, true story.

I want to go to the beach, but the closest one that doesn't require a town resident sticker is like 30 minutes away. I really just want to go for a quick swim, but I don't want to drive a half hour to do it. Boo.

I wanted to save some hard boiled eggs for my salad at lunch which the cafeteria at my work has laid out for us for free every morning, but the eggs were all gone by 8am so now I don't get to have hard boiled eggs on my salad...... Life is hard sometimes

It's garbage day in our neighborhood and I live on an alley. I had to wait 2 minutes for the garbage man to finish his rounds and move along down the alley before I could back out of our drive. :-w

Since SOs car was stolen we've been down to just my car. Which wouldn't be bad if my car didn't now need a brake job! So much for our down payment on a new car! We will be a one car household for a lot longer than we thought!!

My sewing machine broke and needs a new part that I can't get for a month because it's on back order so I'm without my hobby for the next month. My iPhone battery won't hold a charge since I updated the operating system. I'm sure this is a scam by apple to get me to replace my phone with a newer model. And I ran something over with my tire because the tire pressure sensor in my car is telling me one of my tires is like 6 lbs low on pressure so I have to take it in to get it fixed tomorrow.

We've had this happen when we hire a service to clean our house. One time they put my crockpot in the oven and I didn't realize until I turned it on to preheat and I heard something crack. I'm guessing it's something similar, because full time maids WOULD know where to put stuff..... or maybe @lilnugget19 already has the 100 million we were mulling over in the other thread

I'm guessing it's something similar, because full time maids WOULD know where to put stuff..... or maybe @lilnugget19 already has the 100 million we were mulling over in the other thread

I'm just floored that people actually have maids (plural).

I work as a nanny for a family of 5...they have a housekeeper who comes 4 days a week (she basically does things to keep the house up - change bed sheets, dishes, laundry, etc), a deep cleaning service that comes once a week, me (at least 30 hours per week), and the kicker?! ......Mom doesn't have a job (I'm not saying that being a mother isn't a job in and of itself, just mean that she doesn't have a paying job/career). Talk about First World Problems!

What does she do then? If you are taking care of the kids. The housekeeper keeping the house clean. What is left?

My thoughts exactly. She usually rushes around trying to get herself organized...frantic, anxious, overwhelmed, and unsure are words I'd use to describe her. Problem solving is definitely not her best quality. At any given time she may be: exercising, showering/getting ready, on the phone, shopping (but not grocery shopping - I make the list and do the shopping, otherwise I scrounge for meals and her kids go "hungry"), or napping. She occasionally takes a kid to an activity but only really when we
logistically have a time conflict and she has no other choice. Today the the kids and I were out from 11:30am-5:30pm. I have no idea what she did with her day...

@littlecookie yes it's a service so they send several people to make it go faster, and it's not always the same people that's why they don't know where things go. I justify having them because they can get things clean that I just seem to fall flat on, such as the glass shower door or the floors! They work magic.

@meladoriestar MH works for a man from India and he was telling us how big his staff was, he even had a spice grinder on staff. She would grind up fresh spices by hand for the lady who cooked dinner. They got a big shock when they came to the US.
