Crockpot question!

So I'm going to surprise DH with dinner, but let's face it, I'm not much of a cook. I'm planning on just throwing some chicken and veggies and whatever else I have in the fridge into the crockpot with some water and hoping for the best. So, the question is how long do I cook it for and on low or high? It's 1 lb of chicken breasts. Thanks ladies.

  • @housewifehair‌, :) how did you like it?

@LibberDuck‌, it is the best. I've never tried adding extra veggies.

I tricked DH into thinking I could actually cook, maybe only for a day but I'll take it. It reminded me of a chicken chili my sister makes and now I want to know all the secrets of your kitchen after tasting that delicious dish!

It's amazing. 1 pack (3) boneless skinless chicken breasts, can be frozen 1 package cream cheese (I use the 1/3 fat kind) 1 can of corn 1 can of rotel 1 can of black beans, drained and rinsed 1 pack of ranch dressing mix 1 Tbs cumin 1 tsp chili powder 1 tsp onion powder Cook on low for 6 hours, stirring occasionally. Shred the chicken and serve. The recipe says to eat over rice, but we never do, it's great just as a chili.
I made this exact recipe last night! I also add two zucchini, one yellow squash, and a can of peas. So easy and so good!

This sounds so good!  I wish I had read this before leavign for work today!  I know what I'm making this weekend!

Just put this in the crock pot! Pretty excited for dinner tonight :)

  • I know this is random, but did y'all know they make crockpot liners?  I recently found this out and think it's awesome.  I never use our crockpot because I don't want to clean it.  Ha ha ha.

If I could take credit for inventing anything, this would have been it.

  • I won't cook in it without the Liners. Brilliant idea!
