Major separation anxiety and gone overnight

So my son is having pretty bad seperation anxiety. He used to go to the church nursery and be fine. They even got him to take a bottle which is not normal for him. The past 4 weeks he has been so upset we get called to get him out early. DH and I have to go out of town overnight at the end of July and am getting obsessed with worry over how he will do and how hard it is going to be for his caretaker (FIL). Anyone have tips for easing separation anxiety in LO's?

    My son just started this yesterday. I ordered a muslin A+A security blanket off of amazon around 2 AM in a fit of desperation. I hope that will work. I know a lot of people swear by loveys, I just wanted something made of muslin for peace of mind. You might try getting a couple, and sleeping with them to get your scent on it. It might help him feel more secure in your absence. If he has a rough night it will only be ONE night. Don't stress too much.
