Being sent to the high risk MFM clinic UPDATED

At my 33 week appointment yesterday (I guess 32, but somehow I ended up off a couple days!) my Dr. couldn't get a good ultrasound of LO. He was being stubborn and uncooperative to say the least! He couldn't''t get a good view of the stomach and kidneys. The view he did get of the stomach looked like it may have been a "double bubble". Which could mean problems with LO's intestines, eek! So he's sending me to the the high risk MFM clinic to get a more detailed ultrasound and hopefully a clearer picture.

He did stress to me that my fluid levels are measuring normal, my quad screen and 20 week ultrasound were all normal, and that he is measuring perfectly so this is most-likely just my son not letting him get a good view with the ultrasound. That being said I am still freaking out a bit because well, that's I do!

The can't get me into the clinic until next week Wednesday, and my Dr. had pull strings to get me in that soon. It was going to be the middle of July otherwise. I'll keep you all posted but T&P's would be appreciated!!

**Update**
I had my ultrasound with the high risk today and everything is ok, baby is healthy. We were able to see so much more the ultrasound at the high risk clinic, turns out the dark spot next to the stomach they were seeing was the colon, not a double bubble. Everything is developing normally and is in the 48th percentile for growth, so I'm very happy. Thanks for the T&P's everybody!

After my A/S I was sent to a MFM for a level 2 ultrasound to get a better look at something. I found the US tech to be SO much more capable and the technology to be better than what my anatomy scan offered and they were so great at putting me at ease. Regardless of the outcome, you will be in good hands. I'm sorry you have to wait a week, that is torturous. T&P's for you!

I have to go to the specialist strictly b/c of my age. My first pregnancy, I only had to go three times. But this time, I'm having to go the entire time n/ c I'm even older, plus I have a partial previa, and up until my last appt my fluid was a little above normal, and b/c my baby is in the 89th percentile.

Their machines are a lot better than at the OB. Don't stress unless there is something to stress about;)

Thanks for the support everyone, this group seriously rocks! I'm trying to focus on the positive, that I get to see LO again on a better quality ultrasound!

He's never been very corporative with the Dr, except for shots of his privates so I'm hoping that's all this is!
