So after some struggles with breastfeeding I decided to EP and supplement. Now it seems there is a pattern forming where if I give my LO a bottle with BM in it he will often violently spit it up- lots of it. If I give him a bottle of just formula however he may spit up a tiny bit, but it's what I would consider normal. So what's up with that? Is my milk really making him do this? It smells fine and I follow all the rules for storing it. I have a lot stored up in the freezer and would hate to have it all go to waste and would like LO to get the benefits of breastmilk, but this splitting up to the point of almost drowning in it is no good.
Re: Spits up breastmilk, but not formula
Anyhow, our pedi, NP and the LC, told us it takes 3-4 weeks for it to leave your system, not just a few days.

I have a free sample container of gentlease that I should try. Maybe it will help him.
