Babies: 9 - 12 Months

how much formula

Curious how much formula your baby is drinking a day and how old. My LO is 10.5 and takes 26 oz - thinking about cutting back?

Re: how much formula

  • My lo is 9.5 half months and drinks 24-30 ounces a day. Somedays he just wants more than other days
  • Just turned 11 months. Used to drink about 24oz but he is on a bit of a formula strike. I'm lucky if he takes 16oz. Bottle or sippy cup, he will push it away. I started mixing it with whole milk and that has helped and will start to phase out the formula. I say if your LO is still taking that much then maybe wait until they show signs of not wanting as much. If my son wasn't refusing the formula I wouldn't be switching to milk for about another month, but it's what is working for us.

11.5 months old and takes 26-28 ounces. He will switch to whole milk in a couple of weeks and get less than that, though.
  • DS is 10 months, and he has 24-30 oz a day (usually its 30).

I give him what he wants, and there are some days he is just hungrier than others.  I see no need to cut down...

  • 26-30 oz, on average.  Little man is 9 months old.  Pedi doesn't want us cutting down or replacing with juice / milk yet.

About 24oz more or less, depends on the day, but he eats like a champ.  Ceareal, snacks life puff, cherrios, pastina with butter.
  • 10.5 months, 4 ounces. As soon as we started introducing solids, wasn't that interested in milk anymore.

LO is 9 months and is drinking about 26 oz. She is starting to prefer eating more than drinking formula
