I gained 45 and I'm down 35. This last ten pounds will be the true test. Any tips on how to tackle it? Nursing has been helping and I'm watching what I eat. How's everyone else doing in this department?
I gained 35 lbs and was down 23 lbs at 9 days PP (follow-up app with my OB to check on my tear). I haven't stepped on the scale since. I have my 6 week PP appointment on Monday so I'll know then. I'm on MyFitnessPal - not sure if you're on there, but a lot of May Mamas are on it. I'm trying to eat healthy and go for walks with the dog or DD until I get clearance to work-out.
I'm also BF so I'm hoping the weight magically drops offs like it does for all the celebrities.
M14 January Siggy Challenge: Resolution I have no intention of keeping...SHOPPING LESS!
I have 5 lbs left to go. I'm sure a lot of that is milk/breast tissue. At least that is what I'm telling myself. I'm BFing also and I think it has helped tremendously. I was wearing my pre pregnancy jeans 1 week pp. I don't plan on working out or anything. Maybe just some sit ups for the loose skin
I know I've dropped some pounds but my diet hasn't been awful, well not awful but i feel like i inhale food. I'd like to get that in check before I check the scale.
The last time I weighed myself was at my post op appt with the doc. I gained 37 and I'm down 26. So I'm hoping my 6wk appt tells me I'm down a little more. I need to lose 11 more to get to pre preggo weight but I want to lose like 15 more on top of that. I'm hoping I get cleared to do some workout stuff.
I need to work on my pp flabby stomach. Any tips? I was thinking about trying pilates... My diet has been crap. Luckily nursing counteracts the weight gain for now but I need to get back on track.
I gained 37 and was down 30 at 3 weeks pp and comfortably wearing pre-preg jeans. At 6 weeks I was at the doctors pp weight but I say I have 5 more pounds. I figure part of that is in my boobs.
I got cleared by the doc so I started a 30 day ab/plank challenge to work on my core and loose skin.
I've only lost 20 of the 35 I gained @ 4 weeks pp. I'm not in pre preg jeans but I can wear my pre preg dresses. I just got cleared for exercise so I've added gentle yoga. I also realized that the last 15 pounds aren't gonna lose themselves the way the first 20 did so I'm adding daily walks in as well.
I lost a bunch of weight within the first month. Now baby is two months old and the loss has stagnated. I'm walking and active and eating well but it doesn't seem to help so far.
I gained about 44lbs total and have been sitting at 34lbs down since about 2 weeks PP. The last 10lbs haven't moved in the 2 weeks since, they will take some time and work to get off. My heels and tighter fitting shoes still won't fit yet either, I'm hoping that works itself out.
I gained 35 exactly, I have my 6 week follow up tomorrow--- I bet most of it will be gone when I get in the scale. Maybe 10 extra lbs. I've not done a thing to lose it yet other than nurse--- I want to know the numbers first

With both my kids I gained about 20-30 lbs and lost all of it very quickly I believe because of breastfeeding. I have an extra 20 lbs on me that I gained after we got married and prior to LO1. Even though I lost the baby weight fast, no matter what I did I couldn't lose any of that 20lbs. I bf him for over a year so think my body needed to hold on to it. Two months after I weaned him I got pregnant so went into this pregnancy with that 20.
Long story short, baby weight gone, but my body is flabby and fat in places it's never been, boobs are huge and not in a sexy way, I've lost all muscle tone, I am out of shape and still 20lbs overweight. I have just started exercising and watching what I eat again so we will see how it goes. Breastfeeding is still more important to me than those 20lbs. Trying to be "ok" with this mommy body!
Gained 39. Lost 20 in the first 8 days. Have lost 1.5 since then (3 weeks!) and that is with dieting and walking 1-3 miles a day. None of my pre-preg pants fit but some of my shirts do. Its kinda sad.
Gained 45lbs, lost 25. I still feel bloaty and gross at 5 wks pp. I'm walking everyday and eating healthy, but I don't believe nursing is aiding in my weight loss at all. I think the hardest for me is that I've never had a weight issue in my life and I could always eat what I wanted. Now I'm stuck 20ish lbs from where I feel good about myself and I feel like I'm never going to wear my clothes again. That said, a lot of my friends said they didn't see weight loss results from nursing until almost 3-4 months pp. Hoping the same here, along with exercise and diet.

Samesies. I'm normally 5'1, 115, and only moderately watch what I eat. After my first two pregnancies, I lost it all in a month. Now I'm 20 pounds up from where in even half comfortable. I've heard that when EBF, the weight hangs on for several months as a reserve.
I gained 30 and lost 14 in the first two weeks. The 16 are holding on...I'm breast feeding and eating ok. I'm taking long walks too. My boobs are huge, which I didn't want. I was a 34 dd pre-preg. I can't imagine what they are now.
I don't know the exact total I gained while pregnant because I asked them to just stop telling me! But I think I am still about 20ish lbs away from my pre-pregnancy weight :-/ I just got cleared for exercise, so have started working out. I know I need to get my diet in check too.
I gained 50, and lost 40 the first 3 weeks PP. Since then I have put 5 back on... lol so I am 15lb away from my pre-baby weight. But still... nothing but pre-baby dresses will fit. Hoping to get back into my jeans and shorts before September. *FX*

There are only two lasting bequests we can hope to give our children.
I gained 57lbs, I have lost 40lbs but seem to be stuck on those last 10lbs plus I think I might have gained some back recently. I'm so avoiding the scale like I owe it money.
I didn't weigh myself after I found out I was pg. I don't think I gained that much as some (very stretchy!!) jeans fit almost to the end of my pregnancy. I'm about 5 lbs below my pre-preg weight this time, but still have 20 more lbs to go to get to my pre-DD weight, so that's my goal. I didn't really try to lose it between pregnancies. My shorts are starting to fit now from last summer, so thats nice!
Hmmm. I had gained about 35 and lost 25 of that by 2 week appointment and the MW said I was losing weight too fast and eat more (I figure that id the only time in my life I'll hear that!). But lots of you lost about the same in the first 2-3 weeks so it seems pretty normal. Anyway - haven't weighed myself since - have appointment in 2 days which will be 7 weeks pp. Am curious. I bet i havent losy any more! Still have lots of jelly-belly thou... that's where extra weight always goes on me anyway plus there's the loose skin, etc. So only my loosest pre pregnancy pants and shorts fit. I have no willpower for diet or formal exercise nor time with dd feeding constantly so not sure what to do about it but also really don't want to have to buy all new pants! Or have such a jelly belly forever. If you find any miracle cures for that or targeted exercises that actually help please share!

I gained 48 and I lost 18 the first 3 weeks PP. I have been eating super healthy and exercising (mostly walking) and have lost 4 more lbs. So I am 5 weeks PP tomorrow and have 26 lbs to lose.

This is me I am old though so maybe it takes longer? Booo I gained 48 lost 30 and am fighting the last 18 eating well and walking. How do you guys find time to work out more? I have managed a Pilates video once when baby was napping most of the time I don't get enough time "off" to do anything.

For me it was a combination of Pilates, planks, and running. It made a huge difference, but it took time! Not really a miracle cure, but it works.
I gained 35pounds and am down 27. I'm okay with my weight now cause in my first trimester in lost 10 pounds. So really im back to my prepregnancy weight. Idk if it's because I'm 19 or because I'm EBF but it only took me 4weeks postpartum to lose t

This almost exactly. So super frustrating.

I'm at 137 now. It's so gross. I do not carry it well.
