On day 4 no poop?

This is the longest he's gone without pooping.. I know it can be normal but I'm getting a little concerned. He's 8 weeks today. Anyone else?

Up to 8 days is normal. They are very efficient at using all the milk

We went 8 days once, and when she finally went it was just a normal poop.

this happened to me! i was initially worried because LO went from pooping 3 times a day to nothing. she was passing gas fine and otherwise acting normal so i just waited it out. it finally came on the 4th or maybe 5th day

I was worried the first time DD went days without pooping, especially since she was going daily. Now she goes every 3-4 days, longer she went was a week! If your L/O doesn't seem uncomfortable or have a hard stomach, he's fine

Very normal and ours was an abrupt change from pooping several times a day to pooping every 5-7 days. As long as they aren't uncomfortable I say enjoy it. We CD and now I only have to worry about poopy diapers once a week or so!

Very normal with BF babies.

My pediatrician said constipation is defined as consistency and not frequency; meaning it's not how many days they go without pooping, but rather what the poop looks like. A baby can be constipated even if they poop every day if the poop looks like pebbles
