Hi Ladies. I'm a newbie on this board. Recently, hubby and I have decided to TTC ( we wanted to start in a couple months). I went off BC May 10th and still haven't gotten AF

I have not been charting/temping, I wanted to wait for first period, then start charting. I know everyone is different and I have read it can take several months for your cycles to regulate again, but I can't stop stressing about it! I also took a blood test a few days ago that my primary care doctor gave me to test my thyroid to see if that may be an issue. Still waiting on results.
Question - does anyone know if the type of BC pill makes a difference on how long first period is after stopping BC? I was taking lo loestrin for a year, a very low dose BC pill. Not sure if that matters at all! Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.
Re: Stressing about AF arrival!!
I highly recommend that you read the newbie blog, sign up for Fertility Friend, and start temping. I waited a few cycles before I started temping and I went crazy each time, wondering when AF would arrive. Temping will confirm when you have ovulated and, accordingly, when to expect AF.
If you go 60 days without AF, then call your doctor. They can prescribe Provera which should induce withdrawal bleeding.

Others start ovulating again fairly quickly. All bodies are different and respond differently. Be patient and make sure you learn how to chart in the meantime.
