Pelvic area level of discomfort= ridiculous

Okay for serious.

Anyone else feel like this baby is going to fall out of them? I had none of this discomfort with my first, NONE. My entire everything down there (seat bones, hips, vagina) just aches, hurts, etc. Is this baby just crazy low? Did my muscles so not go back to normal after pregnancy #1 that I have zero pelvic support? What in the actual F.

I get it people. After being one of those annoying women who was perfectly comfortable on her due date still last time, now I get it. Feeling like a bowling ball is about to fall out of your ass sucks. This is going to get interesting with almost 2 months left to go...

Re: Pelvic area level of discomfort= ridiculous

  • I feel the exact same way. ALL of it. I am going on vacation next week, to theme parks, and am getting kind of scared of how uncomfortable I am going to be. I have a maternity belt, and that helps some, but not completely.

It hasn't started here yet, but it had by this point last time.  I felt like I had been kicked in the pelvis.  Also, unfortunately, it meant nothing in terms of LO coming before his due date.  :(

Shut your face. I don't even want to get my hopes up that I won't go overdue this time... But thanks for stomping that glimmer of hope ;)

Yes...this exactly. I'm okay when I'm sitting, but when I stand up, I feel like my pelvic bone is on the verge of breaking. It's also terrible when I get up in the night or wake up in the morning...then it feels like my pelvis and hips are breaking. UGH...8 weeks to go!

Totally the same boat here. I have been thinking this past week that I spend entirely too much time sitting on my butt with my feet up lately, but being upright is downright painful now!

  • I have this too; it's been going on since second tri. My pain is especially strong in the front center of my pelvis, right where the two bones meet. I didn't get this with DD at all, and I've been assuming that it is because my pelvic girdle got stretched when she went through. I'm hoping it means this labor will be faster, since things are more open. That thought makes the pain more tolerable.
  • I've been getting this off and on. Seems like LO goes head down then decides to change it up, then back to head down. Last time DD didn't drop until I was in labor so no waddling all pregnancy. But...I have heard from a bunch of 2nd time moms that pushing took somewhere between 5 and 30 minutes for most of them. So...there's that?

My sister had much worse pelvic pain than I did and her baby was out less than 5 hours after her water broke. He was 3 weeks early too. Maybe this will be you. :)

My first labor was actually less than 3 hours total, so the thought of this child shooting out any faster is slightly terrifying... I could definitely go for a punctual baby rather than a fashionably late baby though!

  • This is my 3rd pregnancy, and things get more uncomfortable much sooner with 2nd + pregnancies.  According to my OB, everything is already loosened up from before, so it's normal.

Thankfully I'm not at a desk job this time around.  Being up and moving during the day (SAHM) actually helps a lot vs. sitting most of the day.

And, FWIW...my first I pushed for 3 hours, 2nd...10 mins max, maybe less.  I feel like the baby just fell out compared to my first.

My body actually wakes me up to turn over... It's ridiculous!

Also, I have a lot of crotch discomfort, it's really uncomfortable. 9 more weeks of all this and more. Ugh.

  • Yes, yes, yes! All of the above. Worst is getting up from the toilet/sitting anywhere or moving in bed. It's miserable! No idea what causes it though. I think it might be the baby weight?

I could have word for word written your post. Same thing has been happening to me since about like 30 weeks. I never had any problems with my DD and I was pretty comfortable at 38 weeks (when I had her). I really don't know how I can walk around with constant pain in that region (it feels SO sore) for so long!

My midwife says each pregnancy gets more difficult. This is my third and that's for sure the truth. I feel at 32 weeks the way I felt at 38 with my first two.

  • I've been having sacroiliac pain on one side.  Sometimes it's not too bad, but other times it really hurts to start walking and during some other motions.  Baby hasn't dropped this early.  I think it's just the loosening of the ligaments across that joint that can happen with pregnancy.  The joy!

Kicked in the pelvis is a good analogy!  Mine seems to be really bad after we had sex so now I'm completely turned off from trying that again any time soon.  It was like a week before I could walk normal again.

  • I was like this all last week and then in Friday I woke up and somehow the pain was gone! I assume LO changed positions. Since then, it's returned some but not like it was...thank god!

  • I have felt this way for a while. He is much lower than DD. I think in 7 weeks he will be falling out instead of being birthed.

  • Right now the worst part is when she gets the hiccups, and I feel every single jump right on my pelvic bone. It literally feels like my pelvis is splitting apart (which it kind of is, I guess?) but yea, it's not a fun time.

Ugh I feel so weird when he gets hiccups! I feel it really low and its like my vag is hiccuping. And yes to all the pelvic pain. I'm so ready for this baby to come!

Yep, I feel like he's about to pop his head out of my vagina just to say hello. My boy is very low in my pelvic area. I was told the remainder of my pregnancy which is 9 weeks left, will be pretty uncomfortable :)

You're all going to hate me for this but no, I don't have any of these issues..... but then again that's because I have a baby's ass in my pelvis instead of a head.

This started for me around 32 weeks with my first plus menstrual cramps and early consistent dilation... I delivered via induction at 40w3d.  It was a long miserable 8 weeks.  Sorry ladies, it doesn't always equate to early delivery.  Just think of it as a character building exercise ;)

    I've got enough character. ;)

  • I'm so glad I'm not the only one who feels like my child is going to come tumbling out my bum. The back pain and the pressure are awful it's slightly getting better now but I had about 8 people stop me at work to see if I was okay. I was not expecting the vaginal pressure to extend to my butt also and yes, since everyone has to ask I have pooped many times recently.
My beautiful glowing coworker is 6 weeks ahead of me and doing it all way more gracefully. If she wasn't such a great gal I may resent her!
  • I feel exactly the same as most people and also had the pleasure of my ds running full pelt into my pelvis today and thought it was going to snap!! Just over 3 weeks to go and wondering how much worse it's gonna get :-S
  • I felt fine first time around. I wasn't waddling too much at the end, but holy crap this last week has been miserable. It hurts to turn over at night and my hips throb after about 2 hrs on one side. I know cause that's the longest I can make it sleeping at night without peeing. 3 more weeks hopefully! I think I can I think I can.

  • Oh hell yes.  This is me exactly.  I literally do the poop walk all day because I feel at any moment I will have to put my hands down there and catch her.  I look ridiculous when I actually have to go in public because when I feel the pressure, I have no choice but to hunch over and waddle.  People probably think I'm in labor or something (I WISH).

  • Me too. My pelvis, legs and lower back hurt like crazy. It's been getting worse. And the pressure on bladder is ridiculous.
