Stroller Recommendations for Walking/Jogging?

I'm sorry if this has been discussed previously, but I would really appreciate some input from some experienced ladies! :)

We have a baby trend expedition and its great for walking. I took it out on a rough trail around a lake this week and it held up great but it's probably not the best for jogging with even though it's supposed to be a jogging stroller. I've heard good things about the BOB revolution for jogging.

  • Love my.baby trend. Haven't jogged in it though.

    I'm not.really the jogging type.
  • Love our BOB revolution! Can't say enough good things about it. It's big but for running there is nothing better. There are always a bunch on Craigslist in our area that are practically new for much cheaper then retail.
  • I have the Uppababy Vista and I use it for walking. Tires are awesome. I won't run with it and probably will wait until the Spring before I buy a BOB - or maybe Santa will bring it to me this year ;)

Thanks y'all! Does anyone know about the BOB Ironman? I found one locally & am also checking consumer reports.
  • A few of the women I work out with have the ironman and like it just as much as the revolution. Make sure you get one with the front wheel that swivels, not sure which models do/do not. Also none of the accessories (cup holder/car seat adapter) come with it and are expensive! When buying used people will often have these already, just FYI! Also the car seat adaptors are different depending one which type of car seat you have so make sure you double check!
  • We have the City Mini GT and are pretty happy with it. I have never jogged with it (its not technically a jogging stroller), but it handles a variety of terrains with ease and is relatively easy to fold and unfold. The fold-down shade is great, and it's cheaper than the BOB. My only qualms are that it includes no drink holder (they can be purchased separately, but I feel like this should be standard for a stroller at this price point); and because the interior of the stroller faces outward when it's folded, damage is more likely if it's checked for air travel or stored improperly.

  • One thought — If you're going to spend a lot of money on a stroller and think there's any chance you'll have another baby soon, consider a stroller that converts to a double. I really wish I'd done that. I've heard Phil&Teds make good convertibles.
