Both will only last you a very short period of time. If you would look in to wrap I would look into the entry level woven wraps (Little Frog, Girasol, Natibaby) They will last till toddlerhood.
I never tried a Boba, but I do have a Moby. I liked it in theory, but never really used it. For me, it is too much fabric and too complicated to get on. I will probAbly sell it and get something else this time around.
No experience with Boba, but I hated the Moby. It was hot and complicated.
This time around, I'm thinking about a K'tan or Mei Tai.
I also have an Ergo carrier, didn't use it for DS, but probably will for this baby.
FTM here, but the minute I saw the Mei Tai, it has just looked so great to me. I am worried that the Mei Tai won't be great for the newborn stage though, so I was thinking of getting a K'tan or Moby for newborn. I like the simplicity of the K'tan, but since it comes in different sizes, my husband wouldn't be able to wear baby in the K'tan unless we got two sizes.
Loved the Moby and plan to get even more use out of it with baby #2. I had to watch a bunch of YouTube videos to figure out how to get it on, but once I got it, it's pretty easy.
I personally loooooved my moby. It does get a little hot during the summer, but since we are having fall babies I think it'll be perfect for when it is cold.
No experience, but I decided to start with the k'tan because I've read that it's easier to use than the moby. Then if that goes well and I like wearing the baby, eventually get the ergo later on.
TTC since Sept 2011, Unexplained IF Oct 12 - Jan 14: 3 clomid/TI cycles, 2 hysteroscopies, 2 IUIs, 1 BFP (MMC @ 12w), 2 more IUIs Feb 14: Gonal-f + IUI #5 = BFP! (EDD 11/4/14) Baby boy arrived 11/13/14!
I have no experience with the Boba wrap, but we love our Moby. It was great for the newborn stage.
This. The Moby was great for us until DS was about 4 months, at which time, I switched to the Ergo. I watched the YouTube videos to figure out how to tie the Moby, and got used to it pretty quick. DS was a September baby, and I never felt like it was hot to wear him in the Moby.
This video is a little unfair to the Moby. I tried the Moby at a friends house a couple weeks ago and carried her baby in it and it wasn't anywhere near as cumbersome as shown here.
