Hi all,
I'm having baby #3 in August and used BGs (freetimes, 3.0s, 4.0s, and a few flips) only with my other 2. I'm looking to branch out with this baby and maybe add a few other diaper brands to my stash. Any BG lovers out there that fell in love with a different brand? Anything pretty comparable to 4.0s or freetimes that maybe aren't quite as pricey?

I was using BG 4.0s for ON until I bought a kawaii goodnight heavy wetter. I prefer the kawaii now. And I really like the kawaii P&N and Little Green Baby Bamboo pockets.

Does a best bottom diaper come with one insert? Or are covers and inserts sold separately?

The GNHW is great! I stuff it with a bamboo insert wrapped in a FST. And the p&n is a good "transition" size. It fit my LO around 9 lbs and is supposed to go til 20 lbs or so.

Haven't tried their standard pockets yet.

I love our Kawaii. I think they're just as good as BG. My LO seems to prefer the fluffy lining in the Kawaii too.

I started out with only BG and then tried out Tots Bots Easy Fits and loved them. They are pricier than BG though (unless you are getting elementals).

As far as being comparable quality and design, Fuzzibunz perfect size are great, though since they aren't one-size, they cost more overall. I love the smalls on my DD. She is 3 months and 15 pounds and just to the point where she can almost fit Medium. The mediums are supposed to fit from 15-30 pounds though, so that's quite a while.

I just tried Thirsties pockets a couple months ago and I love them. I got the Size one and I'm really sad that DD has now almost outgrown them. I'm thinking of trying out the new one-size now since I like the old kind so much. I believe the new aplix on Thirsties is better than the aplix on BG, if that's a consideration for you.

But if you are wanting to save some money and get a really good quality and cute diaper, and I could only recommend one brand, I would have to say Nicki's Diapers. https://www.nickisdiapers.com/Nickis-Diapers-Exclusives_c_2527.html

So far I've only used the Bamboo all-in-one, but I love it. The aplix has held up great so far, the colors are great (though there aren't as many as BG) and Nicki's has wonderful customer service, so if you try it and don't like it, they'll take it back no problem. Also, I've not had any issues with elastic getting loose, which I have had several times with my BG diapers.
