Circumcision- advantages or disadvantages?

Those of you out there with knowledge about circumcisions, tell me more about them. I'm on the fence about whether or not Baby Boy should have one when he is born. If we do decide to go that route, what are things we should know about after care? Thanks for all advice and information!

OP, we've already discussed this multiple times. I realize that you're new and maybe don't understand how this board works, but please consider doing a search before starting a thread like this in the future.

I hate this topic. It's a very personal decision made between parents. I don't believe having an open discussion about it with a bunch of strangers is even appropriate. Do yourself a favor OP and do your own research on the matter.

So sorry to post about this! I have been coming to this forum for about a month now and have been pleased with all the valuable information I have received about pregnancy and childbirth. I didn't realize this would be a sticky topic or that I would be using the wrong etiquette by posting about this. I have never seen a thread on this particular board about this topic (and I have been visiting here for at least a month), so that was why I posted. Again, I apologize.

@Theemster82, I truly think everyone is just tired of talking about it. Don't worry - and ask any other questions you might have! I personally never thought twice about it and just asked my husband what he wanted to do, since he's a dude and would know better.

Aweee...and I went and dug up the "Beating a dead horse" gif before I even opened the thread! LOL!!!

Honestly, 16+ years ago, I didn't even stop to think about it and had my son circumcised. I did a lot of research in to pros and cons for this LO (when we were Team Green), talked about it at great length with DH, spoke with close friends and family members and got their thoughts and then DH and I talked about it some more. Then ultimately, he and I made a decision that we were both okay with; or rather, in our relationship, it was the person who had MORE of an opinion/cared more that ultimately was the deciding factor.

Good luck no matter what you decide to do!!
