Transitioning to toddler bed

Hello! I haven't been on here in forever but wanted some input on something. My son is 15 months old and is getting REALLY CLOSE to climbing out of his crib. We have carpeted floors but he could still hit his head on something if he falls from that height. My husband and I were discussing moving him into a toddler bed to avoid him even trying to climb out. Over the weekend we let him take a nap in his brothers twin bed and surprisingly he didn't get out once and fell asleep on his own like normal. Is this too early to move him over though?

If he sleeps easily and happily in a twin bed, then go for it. We transitioned early - she wasn't climbing out, she just seemed uncomfortable in her crib. Much happier in a bed.

  • Definitely not too early if he's ready he's ready. We had to do it a few months back and I was shocked at how well he did. It was like nothing changed. Of course now he gets up and plays in the morning. And occasionally it's hard to get him to stay in bed. But for the most part it's been wonderful and he doesn't get stuck trying to climb out of his crib anymore.
