Baby names I like

My husban and I have started discussing baby names...we are due in January. I like names that are not too common, but also bit too strange that you have never herd it before. I am nervous to share with family and friends if they do not like the names we pick. So thought I would shre here.

For a girl...
Lacey Elizabeth
Lacey Veronica
Lacey violet

For a boy...

Rory Stephen
Rory Fredrick

All the middle names are family names...my husband is not sold on rory but I really like it.

We may end up changing our mind a few more times. But this is what we have discussed so far.

    I love Rory.  Both middle names are fine.  

    Lacey is a bit juvenile to me.  I'm not a huge fan.  I love Elizabeth and Violet.

    I honestly really love Lacey, it was on my super long list for DD. I like Lacey Elizabeth best. For a boy Rory Fredrick. Edited for spelling

    I love Rory!!! It was shot down by DH but I think it is such a great name.

    Lacey just feels dated to me. Is there a story behind why you love it? If you have to do it, I wonder if it could be a nn and use something else as a formal name? It just doesn't grow up well, IMO. Love all of the mn choices, especially Violet!

    Thanks for all of the feedback. I am so pleased at all the positive remarks for the name Rory. I think the name is growing is growing on my husband.

    As for Lacey, I was worried about the name as a grown up as well. Thank you for your honest opinions. I really like it, but don't want to pick a bad name for my child. I am having a hard time finding girl names that I like.

    Rory Frederick is great. I love Elizabeth and like Veronica and Violet. Veronica Elizabeth or Elizabeth Veronica would be lovely. I'm not a big fan of Lacey (it's too cutesy for me), but I do love Lucy. Could Lucy be an option?

    Lacey brings up an 80's stripper vibe to me, and I just don't care for it. Rory is ok, although I like a same with some strong consonants.
    Going purely off your list, I would pick Violet Elizabeth and Stephen Frederick.

    I love Rory! We considered it for DS2 and it might be a contender if we have a third son. Not a fan of Lacey either but I like both Veronica and Violet for first names.

    I like Lacey but only with Elizabeth. I adore violet and Elizabeth -- dd is Violet Elizabeth :)
