Griffin is home!

Yesterday was a saga of 'will they or won't they' in terms of letting us go home from the hospital following Griffin's open heart surgery last Thursday. Different doctors would tell us different things, but finally Griffin's surgeon got out of the OR at 7 pm and made the call that we could leave. It was a bit of a mess trying to get his IVs out and get discharged during a nursing shift change, but eventually we got home at like 9:30 pm. Griffin seems so happy to be home, and I was thrilled to see DD this morning. He's not on any pain meds, just a diuretic to continue to get fluid out of his lungs and body. We go back tomorrow for follow-up testing. We're so glad that he's doing so well. Thanks again for all the good vibes!
