Has anyone used this, either this pregnancy or in the past? It's supposed to help "tone" the uterus, reviews online say it's great for menstrual problems, and also preparing the muscles for labor. I drank the tea (Alvita brand) last pregnancy, but I just can't see making 3 cups a day this time, I'm thinking of doing the capsules. Not sure when I'll start though
I forget when I started last time, it might have been 38 or 39 weeks? But now I'm seeing these articles saying either you can do small amounts all pregnancy long, or start at 32 weeks...
Obviously can't say if it helped the birthing process, since I've only done it once, but I found the tea enjoyable and it Clearly didn't put me into labor- since J was born at 41 weeks. I did only have to push 3-4 times to get him out, and dilated on my own without Pitocin. So was it that he was damn low and basically ready to come out, or did the RRL help make more effective contractions? I just can't say...

here's what I used last time, Amazon tells me I bought it around 36 weeks, so I started sometime that week or the next...

Re: Red Raspberry Leaf
Dates! Dates have scientific evidence I think!
With this pregnancy I've been taking 1 cup of tea per day thru the 2nd trimester and will switch to the capsules at 32weeks.
This!
So I stopped by Whole Foods yesterday to grab some, and ran across date rolls covered in coconut because they were out of straight up dates. The rolls were a bazillion times more delish than regular dried dates so you should def try those or a recipe for them.
People also cut em up and put them in cookies or blend them in a smoothie. Basically the texture of dried dates is a little weird but if you have them in rolls or put then in something they're actually super good (super sugary though).
