UPDATE--teething fever.

Well, yes we had teeth coming through, however, we also have a double ear infection and roseola virus. UGH!! I started a job last week and I already have my little nugget sick so I have to call in. It scared the living crap out of me when I picked him up yesterday at daycare after they called telling me of his high fever and rash all over him. He was SO HOT! He looked so pale, lethargic and so spaced out. The random personality changes in split seconds is now justified.
This roseola thing is crazy and the second ear infection in a month. Sounds like we are on the way to tubes since this is now his fourth (or fifth) ear infection since birth.
Poor little nugget.

  • That's a bummer :(  Did your doctor actually say he should get tubes?  I was concerned when Quinn had three kind of back to back over the winter but she said that's not THAT many and they actually look to see if they keep getting them in the nice weather (i.e. when less kids get sick, kwim?)  Is someone else able to stay home with him tomorrow so you don't have to miss work?

  • Thanks @elmoali! Doc said that they base the tubes off a criteria that she didn't get into. She said that once he meets that we will go from there. I think she didn't want to get into it yet. Which I am happy about since I was a wreck when we got there. I am a paranoid first mom so she knows how to deal with me and we have a great relationship.
Luckily I have wed's off so it works out great but I just hate that I had to call in today. I told DH that next time its his turn. He couldn't today since he had a MAJOR project going on and its a pretty big deal.

Poor guy. I'm glad he's on the road to recovery now.
