July 2014 Moms

Who else is over this?!

Now don't get me wrong here, I actually don't have too much to complain about being pregnant. This will be our 3rd child and I've been lucky enough to have a very easy pregnancy. But lets get real ladies and gentlemen, I'm ready to meet my baby! Who's with me?! lol Anyways, I have about 20 days left and at my last appointment my doctor said I wasn't dilated at all. So, does anyone have any great suggestions on how to get myself to relax and possibly get things progressing?

• i didnt do anything the other two times, and they were both a week late each. and weird thing is, it hurts like HELL to have sex. idk why but its painful!
• I'm ready to meet the kid, but not ready for it to be this far in advance of my due date. Maybe go get a pedicure and a really good foot massage.

I'm just about 35 weeks and not so much over it yet, but I wanted to go in to labor prior to being induced with my last pregnancy. I am not a doctor or in the medical profession, but I looked in to a few things that may or may not have helped me go in to labor 3 days prior to my scheduled induction. It's hard to know what really helped but...
I ate a lot fresh pineapple, I cooked myself and ate the famous eggplant parm, I used Evening Primrose oil vaginally, I bounced on a yoga ball, and I had my membranes stripped by my OB.
All of these were done after I hit week 38 and I delivered exactly at week 39.
• I tried everything with DS. Pitocin was the only thing that worked.

I have died every day waiting for you. Darling, don't be afraid, I have loved you for a thousand years. And all along I believed I would find you, time has brought your heart to me. I have loved you for a thousand years. I'll love you a thousand more.
• I am so done!! I'm 38+1 and I'm done! lol
I went to 41 weeks with DD, so part of me is expecting to go over with this one. I was GSB positive, so I couldn't get my membranes swept or anything, we just did pitocin (Which was horrible!), but this time I'm negative, so membranes will be swept on Friday!! I also met an awesome massage therapist, who knows all of the secret spots and pressure points to induce labor! Every patient she's tried it on so far, has worked! Here's hoping, I don't have to wait another 3 weeks to meet this little one!!

That's when my cs is scheduled as well. I don't want her to come out too early but I am almost constantly aware of just how many weeks, days, and hours I still have to go, especially when I'm uncomfortable.

I feel horrible being over it since we tried for two years to get PG, but I'm ready. Between my preeclampsia and asthma, I feel like poo all the time. I go tomorrow morning and have a funny feeling he is going to say let's do the RCS today. I will be 36+5 but my symptoms have changed and I don't think he's going to be happy. Last week he said if I could get through one more week, he would consider it a victory. Well... I made it!
• I have 2 weeks to go but I am over it!! I miss sleeping and not being constantly uncomfortable I can't wait to meet our little guy but parrot me is sad and wants to absorb every bit of it as this is probably our last

• I am scared of labor but because I'm so nervous about it I just kind of want July 15th to get here sooner so I can get this show on the road.

I am not necessarily over being pregnant but I am definitely ready to meet little Belly Bean.

Though part of me is wondering how weird it's going to be to adjust to NOT feeling a baby moving in there.

There's always the likelihood that you'll feel phantom kicks and you'll sit there looking at your precious newborn in your arms and wonder why there's still one in your belly.

Belly Bean is such a cute nickname for LO!! I am wondering about adjusting to not having a baby move in there as well. Trying to appreciate every little moment, movement, body part of LOs sticking out and DH feeling and talking to little man. Makes the waddling, shortness of breath, grunting while rolling over, and the too quick for my body to keep up with weight gain bearable. 35 weeks and still feeling a little trepidation, but mostly excited!

I had these and it kind of freaked me out!
• I was "over it" at 15 weeks when they told me that in addition to testing my sugars and barely eating, I would also have to give myself shots 4 times a day.

That being said, I am still pissed at the fact that my baby will not get all the time she needs. Docs will induce(for good reason) during 38 weeks.

Your baby will come when it's good and ready. Not all of us are so fortunate.

Apparently I'm in an uber bitchy mood today. Whatever. Sorrynotsorry.

@tiffles -- coming out of lurkerdom to ask you something! Why were you unable to have your membranes swept because of GBS+? Is this common practice? Maybe I am dealing with shadey midwives, but they stripped my membranes at 42 weeks and I was GBS+.

This. Sometimes, when it feels like he's trying to force his foot all the way through my skin (that is NOT an emergency exit, baby) I would be so okay with not feeling a baby moving in there. Then there's other times when it's a happy and amazing feeling.

But for the most part, it still feels like an eternity away and at the same time not all that long. I'm so ready to not be at work and dealing with pregnancy, though! That's the worst!

• I've been over being pregnant for awhile now. Looks like I'm starting to dilate though so I'm stoked! Now that I'm 35 weeks I'm feeling more and more ready to meet them. DH keeps wanting to "induce" me with sex. Men are crazy, but maybe it'll help!

• I'm so done too! But it's more because of the fact my arms keep going numb when I lay down on my right side or if my arms are bent for too long. Also, I can no longer comfortably bend over and it's getting harder to chase down my toddler!

• @LeaLupins‌ I am so happy to have found someone due on the same day as me!!

I am Definitely over these BH's!!!! Waddling, sore back, and greedy sensations <---- well, maybe I just like food!! Lol
• Over it. I started eating spicy food, bouncing on the ball, and walking as much as possible a couple days ago. I'm ready for this little man to come out. Think I may try that primrose oil in a couple more days.... I hadn't heard of pineapple helping though, maybe i will try that too. Hope it happens soon for all of us (that are safely near our due dates) :-)
• Totally over it. I am 36 and a half weeks but have gone around this time with my other 3. I am already 2 cm and 50% effaced so hopefully by next week it will be go time. She is trying to break out my side at this point. I absolutely love the newborn stage and love being a mommy but I have never been one that enjoys anything about being pregnant so I am ready to meet this little girl!
