How was lo the few nights leading up to getting their first tooth? The last few nights have been like we have a newborn again as far as sleep goes. I thought it was his teeth but we still have nothing yet.
The 6 months leading up to it I swore a tooth would appear the next day. Then he really started teething. He acted like he was being murdered every 2 - 3 hrs at night. Then out of nowhere I saw a little whiteish bump on the top right. Since that first one he has had 3 come in with zero issue at all, besides the fact that the bottom two are crooked and I look like I have a little hill billy.
L broke his very first tooth today, after he chomped down and I felt something very sharp and pointy. I thought it would never happen ha but yes the past few weeks he's been cranky/moody. Eta. nights have been horrible the past few days but now I know one of the reasons.
So.. the first tooth coming in was during his 4 month sleep regression phase, which lasted until he was 6.5 months old. It is hard to tell how much of that craziness was tooth vs how much was sleep regression. He's been sleeping like a dream the past several weeks, and lo and behold he cut his second tooth with not a peep. He just started fussing about it today and it's all the way exposed already. There's no rhyme or reason to it here.
G got his first two teeth within days of each other about a month or so ago. His sleep was awful the few nights leading up to when they finally cut through. We gave Tylenol several nights in a row at bedtime and it helped. He also didn't tolerate being sleepy well when the teeth were just getting ready to poke through - he seemed moody, I can imagine it's rough on them.
He now has some pretty swollen top gums, and was running a low grade fever earlier tonight. Motrin took care of it, I'm hoping it's just teeth and not his ear infection. We're on the third round of antibiotics for that. Ugh.
