Didn't get cleared

Had my 6 week PP appointment and I didn't get cleared for sex. I thought for sure I would. I still have a small amount of pain with a BM but I thought I would be healed by now. She wrote me a prescription for an antibiotic since I guess bacteria can get trapped and slow healing. Poor DH. I was even kind of excited to try but o well. Anyone else? How much longer did it take to heal?

    Yep, my OB said to wait another MONTH. I wasn't surprised bc I still have a sore spot. She said the stitches weren't all healed and I had some extra tissue that she burned off. It took almost three months for me to heal after DD but that was a much worse delivery and tearing. Last time an estrogen cream helped me. No fun...

    I go tomorrow for my appointment and I am almost 5 weeks PP. Thinking I might not be cleared either, as I am still sore and tender where the stitches were down there...

    Yeah I was cleared and waited 2 more weeks. I was terrified. BUT I'm happy to report that it went well. It even felt good for like 5 minutes. After that not so much. So my advice wait til you're ready bc you have to mentally be in the right place. Use lube, take it slow and keep it short lol. I gave DH the gameplan before we started, not romantic but we were on the same page and that helped a lot! Good luck ladies

    I got cleared yesterday but it's the last thing on my mind. Too tired and not yet on birth control so not taking any chances! I start the pill next week so maybe after that... DH hasn't brought it up so it's not like I have to fight him off.

    Did anyone who wasn't cleared still have pain when urinating? I have my 6 week app on Monday. I had a 4th degree tear and a small cut on one side. I'm thinking the pee is still burning on the cut. It's not like the burning of a UTI.

    Also, is it possible to get clearance to work-out and not have sex? I'd be okay with that...

    I don't have any pain with peeing but when I wash down there, sometimes it still burns. Must be the same for both of us, it isn't healed and it is getting irritated

    Yes, I've been working out for a few weeks with no discomfort but no sex for a few more weeks. My OB said I could start slowly getting back into exercise at four weeks. :)

    6 weeks PP tomorrow and I'm not cleared. All is well on my repair 2nd degree tear) but I'm still bleeding and had a hemorrhage when my placenta wouldn't detach. J was 10.14 though and when I carry him too much my flow increases. I go back in a month and the dr. said the bleeding should be gone by that point. Not that I remotely want to have sex I just want to be able to carry my nearly 14 pound kid around without any issues.

    Did anybody go in for their PP appt and not get checked? I went into mine and she asked how I was feeling, but said they don't like to do physical checks because things can still be sore and whatnot. She said I didnt need to be checked and to come back for my 1 year check up in (sept). She asked how sex was feeling and I told her we were waiting for the all clear from this appt and she said we could have started 2 weeks after the last day I bled. They were all over the place the whole pregnancy and a lot of things they said were wrong, so it makes me nervous to trust them about anything. I will be switching offices for my next pregnancy for sure! But we did attempt to have sex after the appointment and it hurt so we didn't get very far now I'm worried I might not be done healing or something like that but I would have no way of knowing..
